Soloing LVL 20

I just reached assassin at lvl 20 and am already finding it real difficult to solo, even worse than my coercer was! Im not sure what i am doing wrong, although i did upgrade to medium armour that is orange to me, and upgraded weapons etc.Although i cant seem to get very many adepts because they are rare or SO expensive! (Maybe thats it?)  I just cant seem to take the hits before im in the red and running away. I  primarily solo alot and i realize that maybe assassains are better in grps, although I am sure that every character can solo in their own way, and i just havent figured out a proper tactic to do this. Since most of our good attacks require stealth, or behind, we are not very strong soloing. Does this get any better to solo as i lvl up? Should i stick with it? Or should i give up soloing, and keep this character primarily for grping? WIth a templar, and coercer as alts i though for SURE this character would be better for soloing. ANy input would be great. <P>Spiritu: Stick with it. I can only speak from the point of view of a 26th Assassin as I am now. Depending on how many friends the mob has around him, I either open up with a Stealth attack from behind or a bow shot. Always use poison and get as many Ad1s as you can find. I have found the strength of the Assassin in soloing is the one hit damage you do with your opening attack, which to me is in line with the role playing and I find it a blast tracking my high hit. Once you get Assassin's Blade (get the Ad1 for sure on this) you will find your opening shot will take the mob to yellow easily and sometimes orange. Ebon wont do as much but it is still a good opening attack. Also, anything yellow cast Assassin's mark right after your opening attack. Bleed, Impale, then my HO. By the time i get done with my HO most mobs are deep into orange or dead. Honestly soloing is fun and I have a hard time believing there are many classes out there that are a whole lot better at soloing - but i admit my xp is limited playing other classes.</P> <P> </P>

The crabs on the beach in Thundering Steppes are good exp and easy to kill at level 20. I soloed those for a while when I was 20.

<DIV>Agree with what Ripr says.  Assassins are pretty fun to solo. </DIV> <DIV>I always try to pull with a bow attack (at 36 you will have 3 very nice bow skills) and you can whack a fair chunk of HP's off the mob before he even reaches you.  You can also use your stealth stuff mid-fight, but tbh I rarely use them except in groups.</DIV> <DIV>Always keep your self buffs up, keep your blades poisoned and you'll do fine :smileyhappy:</DIV>
