<DIV>I'm lost.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm losing power during fights and I can't figure out why.  I never really used to pay very close attention to my power bar to the point where I would stare at it, so I don't know how long this has been happening.  Since I got GEBs, I've been watching it more and more and noticed that my power actually goes DOWN on some ticks instead of up.  I used to think it was a timing issue with arts being cast and not updating my power bar until the next tick,  but I've found out that is not the case.  I've gone through logs and made sure it wasn't power draining mobs that I've been fighting.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have the racial trait to regen power, GEBs, and normal regen, which should give me a significant amount of power every tick.  On some ticks, my power seems to drop over 100 points.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maybe I just don't know how something works, but I'd sure like to know what is happening.  The only thing that I can figure is that some sort of proc is taking power.  This could be from one of my weapons, armor, bow, poison, etc.</DIV> <DIV>Any ideas?<BR></DIV>

If you have blade flurry up I know that it used to drain power on every single proc, even against a single target sometimes. Very very bad skill. <div></div>

<P>Haven't used blade flurry in a long time.  At least, not after the chanters started beating me down for breaking their mezzes.</P> <P>Blade flurry would cause this, too.  That's one of the reasons that I think its some kind of proc that is causing the decrease.</P> <P> </P>

yup bladefurry  and bloodscent (procs off of your Merciless Villainy buff) both consume power when they proc.    idk if thats intended or not   but it sucks either way <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Your racial visions also draw power <div></div>

<P>I can eliminate Blade Furry and the racial visions.  I will test the Merciless Villainy theory and let you know.  I believe that if this proc is using power, than it would definately be a bug.</P> <P> </P>

is blade furry broken as far as agroing mobs outside of your encounter?  a few times now i've had it up and non-agro mobs (dragonflies in Tomb of Night) that happen to be wandering by all of a sudden jump into battle.  since no one else changed target all i can think of is that BF is grabbing them. <div></div>

I somehow think our advancement regen got broken last patch...i used to always be at 80% power when i did power conserve mode...now im at 50% since last patch <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ....might be also i stoped using PGT in offhand and it used to proc a lot when u start ur fights with your bow atacks (if you wait a bit the long cast gives time for tank to establish taunt normally ) <p>Message Edited by Skratttt on <span class=date_text>07-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:33 PM</span>

<DIV>BloodScent, from what I hear, takes away about 100 power when it procs. I'm not sure how much power it takes really because I've never had it proc once until just a few days ago when I was swapping around a few items I had. Ends up you can make it so that Bloodscent never procs <EM>at all. </EM>That way you don't have to worry about losing power all the time, very easy to do.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bloodscent <EM>only</EM> procs if you have a <STRONG>bow</STRONG> equiped believe it or not. If you don't have a bow on, when bloodscent is suppose to go off, you get this message instead. "You need a bow!" or something to that effect. Tested it out myself in harclave by having a bow equiped then taking it off. When I have a bow equiped, blood scent goes off like it normally should. Wouldn't know if it drains power since I'm in harclave mode. Though I do notice my power bar drop a good amount, for harclave, when it goes off.  Now once I take off that bow and put in a knife throwing sheath, I'll never see bloodscent proc once. EVER. It'll never proc without a bow. All I get are these messages about how I need a bow (only reason why I bought the [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] bow, to shut up the messages).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So if you need to save your power like in a raid or something, just have a non-bow item in your ranged slot then switch in a bow once you want to make a bow attack. Or if you're just soloing you can't really use a bow anyway (at least during the fight), so don't have one equipped unless you really just have to pull it with a assassins shot (then switch it out).</DIV>

Yep, the bloodscent proc of merciless villiany uses 100 power every proc, and it can proc quite often. <div></div>

If power is a concern then don't use merciless villinany, use bleeder's talent instead.  The haste you lose is nothing compared to the amount of damage you lose from not being able to use your ranged combat arts.</span><div></div>
