Anyone want to share some of their experience in pulling for groups? I sort of have the concept i think of invising to the mob attacking and stealth on the way back to the group making it easier for the tank to pull agro. Does it go something like that? thanks <div></div>

Using your bow is much better, I think. If you keep your skill up, you can get a couple of hundred damage with a CA for every one (depending on your level and poison use of course), plus you remain closer to the group.

For pulling, I usually use the Surveil line. It has a pretty decent range and since it pulls while lowering your hate, the tank can get it easier. On really long pulls, I will invis up to the mob with an invis that gives a boost in speed when it is broken (Espionage), then cast a self-buff (Merciless Villiany) to agro the mob while giving me the feet to get back to the tank without getting beat up too badly. <div></div>

i would highly recommend not using bow CA;s to pull. they have a very high chance of both proccing poison and whatever other effects you have and put out quite a bit of dmg. you make life difficult for your tank if you do that and at higher lvls you could end up dead real quick. use your bow but just use the autoatk portion. that said, why would the group not let the tank pull in the first place. i can understand using a scout to check around corner and such to be careful for adds but in a case like that i typically send targets back to the tank through assist. <div></div>

<P>Well, the only logical scenario where he would be pulling (imo at least) is if he is acting MT, or if he is soloing. If its a group scenario, a ranged CA is perfectly fine; its what I have used successfully before. If its solo he is speaking of, sneaking/high damage flank attack or 3 ranged CA's + melee work well.</P> <P> </P>

I think Gor is on the right track. What I am presuming is that by stealth pulling, the assassin is able to lower nearby mob agro and consolidate the pull as it were. Guess I'll have to test some versions of this to see if it works <div></div>

The stealth pull I use when I have a long way to get back to the MT. Espionage gives you a 40% speed boost when it breaks, and using proximity agro instead of engaging means you are not slowed to combat speed. It just helps you get back to the MT before the mob beats you into oblivion. If there are a lot of mobs in the area and I want just one, that is when I use the Surveil pull. It seems to not bother other mobs in the area at all, and the tank is already highest on the hate list. First time I used it was the fairy for the AQ in Nek. If you pull it with a damage art, you get the protectors also. If you pull it with Stalk, you get the queen solo. <div></div>

<DIV>Usually the MT just pulls with a bow, but if you want to pull as an assassin, one good tactic is using Stalk. Make sure the MT and yourself are in front of the rest of the group, and use stalk to pull the mob. Stalk will pull the mob onto the ally closest to you, and will put you in stealth mode, so you can get in a nice hit right away after the MT has control of the mob and proper aggro. One bonus of stalk, is that it has great range. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Ok here s what worked in Nek Castle return. Helped us kill the two big guys behind the doors without having to fight the dogs in the yard (I'm bad with names) but i invised past the dogs in the courtyard. went to the mob behind the door i cast a spell to break invis and immediately cast in combat invis. The mob left me to go to the rest of the group members and i invisd back across the yard to join the fight at the entrance. seems lowering on the hate sends the mobs after the group. Reason we did that is so we could group invis once the two named are killed and bypass the yard trash. Pretty situational pull tecnique but good to know. <div></div>

<DIV>I frequently use surveil to pull, its good because it was a longer range than bows and reduces agro as stated, sending the mob after the rest of the group. It works well when trying to get those floating balls of fire down near Naggy's lair. One thing that happens occasinally with this is the mob will bug, and on its way to the rest of the group it gets stuck under the world somewhere, locking your group in combat. Really sucks when that happens and something to watch out for.</DIV>
