<DIV>At 41 assassin with all orange gear except for my PGT and Fishbone earring, I can't solo worth a crap. Blue solo mobs can hit me with crush a lot. When thats up for like its 2 or 3 seconds I get poned. But this is happening to blues below me, I should be able to beat them up easily. I've read all the posts and stuff and this is just starting to make me angry. We really need overhauled by the devs or whatever. Give priests there balances, than it will be fighters, than maybe some more mage ones, a few more priests, better fix some encounters, nerf scouts some more. We see nothing but nerfs, soloing was decent when slip away was an abusuable glitch but they took that away. I realise that it wasn't supposed to work that way but they just made it harder to solo. I'm feeling very gimped right now very very gimped...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

solo at 40+ is a laugh in our face, i don't even try to solo. It happens now and then that i get aggro from a green/blue and for me they are no match but if you watch closely after you kill a blue, check the exp bar then count how many to fill 1 10% section, don't be scared just do some quests or try a few more hours to get a group.

What are you trying to solo, normal solo mobs or heroic mobs? If your trying to kill blue heroic, then there is no way really unless you want to waste time and arrows bow kiting. But for solo mobs you should have no trouble what so ever. Just using your 3 ranged combat arts alone should bring a yellow solo mob to near half hp. <div></div>

Yeh, 3 ranged arts and 1 straight arrow usualy brings a blue mob close to red for me at lvl 42 <div></div>

<DIV>Not sure if you are getting heroic and solos confused.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At 45 I can still solo yellow solo mobs with little problem.</DIV>

<DIV>Nub no solo's for us unless you really know the strings to pull. Archery is the big factor there.</DIV>

My guess is that the OP is being melodramatic in hopes of us Assassins finally getting the SOE love we've been waiting for.. I can Condemning Blade then auto-attack Blue solo mobs and end up with 80%-90% health and full power after I come back from BIO or whatev. Are you attacking only with numbing strike? Waiting for that 60s recast has to be a pain.. <div></div>

<DIV>At 42 I have absolutely no problem soloing yellow mobs. Solo mobs I might add. And I'm enjoying the class a lot still :smileyhappy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't feel we have a problem with DPS as so many people sometimes point out here either. Sure, would love to have more but what we have doesn't exactly suck either.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Flaxon, Toxxulia</DIV>
<DIV>Same with everyone else, at 41 assassin and I solo yellow solo dogs in EL with no problem what-so-ever. Alot of my gear is blue actually, because I had feysteel and changing them with fulginite would be downgrading at the moment, and all the other gear has worse stats if I change them to orange. Is this the case with everyone else too? I just seem to not be able to cahnge things like the necklace of fingers, ancient slayer ring, zig's wing, and some other gloves/bracers/boots that are lightarmor but have good stats. </DIV>

<span><blockquote><hr>Klipto wrote:<div> the necklace of fingers </div><hr></blockquote>Where is this from? Never on the broker and couldn't find any info in all my searching. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></span><div></div>
Its a finger slot: 6sta, 5agi, 6str, 120 sv disease, 120 av heat, 120 sv mental, +1slashing, +1crushing, +1 piercing, +2 ranged, 37 mitigation, mastery at 200. Not sure on where it drops, bought it for a hefty amount on the broker.<BR><BR>I heard its going to be cahnged to neck slot, which is kinda lame, in that it was so original. Necklace of fingers could be interpretted two ways, which I thought was creative of them...guess not.

Soloing blue ^^ isn't too tough if you have a little space to move, a good bow, and are familiar with your ranged combat arts. with slowing hex dolls you can probably do higher than that too. if you just want to stand in front of the mob and beat on em then ya, scout sucks for solo. you just gotta be willing to use/learn all the tools we get. <div></div>

Yeh. We can solo yellow ^ ^ 's still at level 42, but it's always a do or die situation. The east side of everfrost is a good place to test this out, in the open area there outside the cave. For me, it's not really a good idea. I usualy die 2 out of 3 times (I'm still using stormfire), but man, it's great exp when ya get one. <div></div>

How long does it take you to kill 1 mob? I bet I could get just as much exp chain killing white or yellow solo mobs and get the same if not more exp than you killing that 1 group mob.</DIV>

<P>I agree that soloing with an assassin is very much doable, just not for the lazy <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Fighters who are used to charging in and just mashing attacks until the mob dies will have a problem adjusting to scout style <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

I would like to see more information as to where that ring drops. I've searched and searched to no avail as to where the ring comes from. And yes solo is not too hard if you concentrate, get an uber strat in mind, and execute the tactic.

<DIV>As a level 50 assassin in pretty decent gear, I can stand up to most solo mobs toe to toe. (not Foulgil, he owns me)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When it comes to the 'double ups', going up against a level 43 (grey mob) I have about a 25% chance of winning. If I equip my fabled round shield I have, it's more like an 80% chance of winning.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Against level 44s, I can't beat them toe to toe dual wielding or using a round shield.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When it comes to kiting however, equipping my fabled round shield, and loaded with tons of arrows, Iceberg/Tundra Jack in the proper area will fall to me. However, it takes forever, it's dangerous as hell because it can be over instantly if they land a hit that stuns you, and you have to be on the lookout for wandering adds. It can be done, but the risk and time it takes makes you wish you had just grabbed a guildie or two and taken them down instead.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, as I said, my gear is pretty decent. I have some fabled stuff, master 1s/adept 3s, etc. I was playing my brother's 50 berserker in sub rare crafted gear, and mostly app2s and adept1s, and a level 44 heroic mob dropped no problem while dual wielding... Definite problem in my opinion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But these problems all started a few months ago on that dreaded patch day that scouts refer to as.. the agility nerf. Since then.. Yeah.. we take hits, they hurt, we die.</DIV>
