Am I missing something or is Slip Away pretty much useless if you took Harkin's Stalking at lvl. 20? Only possible benefit I can see is the short cast time, which I really don't see as any great advantage in strictly non-combat situations. At adept 1 it has the same lvl stealth as Harkin's (current lvl +2), and has 25% speed decrease VS. 14% on Harkin's. If I am somehow missing the charm of this ability please let me know , maybe I'll bump back into my hotbar... <P>heh yeah I had adept1 slip away too.. but from lv20-30 I never used it. :smileyvery-happy:</P>
<P>I grabbed a Master1 Slip Away which grants 36/37 level stealth and no movement decrease - rocks. </P> <P>When they changed the recast time it became my best friend. At lvl 32 I was runing around in RE and only a few mobs could see me, very few at that and with good sneaking skills this was nothing. DId most of the flag quest solo in under 20 minutes on my first visit to RE.</P> <P>Now I am lvl 36 and just picked up my new steath, at app1 it is not as good as my slip away master1 and I need to pick up a adept3 for it tonight.</P>

<DIV>Slip Away + Hunt owns Harkins Stalking.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The stack so you get the speed and stealth lvl of slip away + the see invis and combat stealth(ability to lauch attacks) from hunt.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also you use to get insta cast from slip away (WHY THE *^&(% THEY CHANGED THIS IS BEYOUND ME, it is now 1 sec cast time) but still faster to cast the Harkins.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hate to say it but Elaa's was the best choice at 20 (maybe open shot upgrade if you use a bow a lot, i prefer groups myself)</DIV>

I never regretted chosing Harkins. Actually I´m pretty sad about the fact that I outleveled it recently. Attack stealth without slow is just great. I REALLY hope the Lvl 50 spell Disappear will work the same way or even a bit better. <div></div>

<div></div>slip away won't be useless in your low 30's when you are trying to get past lvl 40 or so mobs, harkin's only works up to lvl 38 or so. slip away bumps that number to 40. when i was lvl 32 i was able to use slip away to get to the Runny Eye BP quest. muderer's flight (invis to 41's) got me to the legs quest. harkin's wouldn't get me to either. basically the higher lvl the stealth (assuming similar lvl - adept 1 say), the higher the lvl of mob you can move past. your lvl factors into this also but there is a definite lvl limit on each stealth. also i don't think any spells are as critical to upgrade to adetp 1 as invis spells. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Graton on <span class=date_text>05-04-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:26 AM</span>

All this is beside the point. The purpose of Harkin's isn't to be a powerful sneak, but a fast one. And it is. Then you might as well say Pincer Blade is crap because it's lower level than Ebon Blade.

At lvl 28 the stealth level on both spells is the same (30 I believe), and of course Harkins is much better for speed...but I can see how SA will eventually become usefull if the cap on stealth lvl is higher than Harkins. It's kind of a drag that a lvl 22 spell (SA) has no use until into the 30's ....but certainly nothing to lose sleep over hehehe <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Thanks</span><div></div>

using harkin's last night in zek at lvl 42 and i can definitively tell you that the cut off lvl is 37 not 38. that is to say , all lvl 37 mobs can see through harkins. <div></div>
