Hi all I just hit 20 and became an assassin, and I'm looking for some insights/advice about your preferences for the lvl. 20 training skills. My initial instinct was to go with the Hunt upgrade (since I creep around a lot), but i decided seek the counsel of some of my more experienced brethren before commiting to it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I took Beffudling Strike at lvl 10 and have been pretty happy w/ that so far. Thanks in advance <div></div>

I love Harkins Stalking.  It gives such fast, stealthed movement, I havent regretted taking it.   When not grouping, thats how I travel.  To me, the difference in speed between that and non-stealthed is minimal.  Plus, its adept 2, so you can thumb your nose at mobs several levels higher than you. <p>Message Edited by Craien on <span class=date_text>04-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:44 AM</span>

<P>Harkins sucks,</P> <P>Sorry was not able to give my opinion before you selected but Slip Away + Hunt stack and own Harkins hard core.  Not to worry you can /respec (or whatever the command is) to reselect your specials.  Most people end up doing this near 50 anyway.</P>

Harkin's gives 0% movement penalty at about lv24-25. And it serves you till mid 30s. I never regreted this choice.

<DIV>Harkin's Stalking hands down! The 0% move decrease while stealthed can't be beat. I still use it at Lvl 44. The monsters can still see you at lvl 44 but when you are in a group and you need to be stealthed before the fight it's just easier to use <STRONG><FONT color=#ffff00>Harkin's Stalking</FONT></STRONG> then vanish or slip away .</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Why? Vanish has a 1 second cast but try running behind a tank with vanish! It slows you down tremendously by the time you catch up the fight is over. It's also a little difficult to cast RIGHT before a fight when your tank is pulling everything in sight and you cant cast if the fight is engaged because it is an out of combat stealth.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for slip away it has a 3 second cast and it slows you down. So  it isn't practical to cast before the fight if you can't catch up and casting during the fight will lower your DPS.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for the rest of those skills at lvl 20 you definately WON'T need them later on so it's a no brainer. Harkin's Stalking is the right choice.</DIV>

Harkin's Stalking is a great choice. I am level 35 and it is still very useful.

I chose Vladimins bow attack  (don't remember the right name ^^). This one really rocked imho till early 30's. If you want to solo better, take this one. <div></div>
