<DIV>Ok, so Im a ratonga, I know alot of assassins who stress  str over stamina.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Personally i think at lvl 50 getting more str is meaningless because of the horrible returns. If i get +24 str using 2 str hex dolls, my attack rating increases by ... what 7? why is that worth it?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stamina on the other hand if i upgrade it by 24, i can aquire.... about 254hp or so i forget the exact number.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My point is, would i rather have a whoppin 7 more attack rating outta 700ish(again i forget exact number, im not at home.)</DIV> <DIV>OR</DIV> <DIV>Have 254 more hp so i can survive possible 1 more AOE....even though aoe hits for more then 254 hp, that still adds up faster then 7 attack.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I understand the next couple patches are supposed to address this issue with str not really being worthwhile. But currently i still see alot of assassins stressing str.. whats the reason? Is there other benifits you see other then the low attack rating increase?</DIV>

its worth stacking Str untill you get up to 150, any more is pretty useless. same with any other stat really except agility (more power) or stamina (more hp as you said) But yeah, im going to wait to see what they *$%#&! up in LU# 7. maybe more str will be good or whatever. <div></div>

<P>I still don't understand what attack is supposed to signify in this game.  With that said though many of the people base their desire for more strength on damage bonus tables moorgard posted awhile.  Every 100 str essentially puts you into the next bonus level.  I still haven't seen much in the way of returns though since with 200+ I end up doing the same and even less than I do with under 200.  On raids since fighters tend to do more overall damage with their crushing weapons and the lack of crush immune mobs they tend to get all the extra strength buffs like avatar so its hard to say what 300+ will really do for us.</P> <P>As a raider I guess it depends what you value more.  I'm not the best equipped but can survive the AEs pretty well.  Also there are a number of in combat health regen items which would help with the aes as well since you can regen quite a bit between aes in most encounters.  So its up to you I suppose.  If getting 200 or 300+ str isnt a problem then stamina is a good way to go for the extra hitpoints or maybe even agility now for the extra avoidance.</P>

I am not highlvl, but I think it would be better to raise up str to hit 'em more efficient? 'cause of the fact I'm not a tank, stamina isnt THAT important, cause we're behind the mob...or at least we should be <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>If you are interested in high-end raiding you want more strength for sure. A few stamina here and there will help sure, but more strength will allow you to do more dps on every attack. The effect of strength diminshes after 100, 200, etc. just like other stats do, but with that being said every point of strength still does help. I see a large damage difference between the lower strength assassins and generally all lower strength characters vs. their higher strength counterparts. Ideally I'd say you want at least 200 strength unbuffed to always fall in that tier for damage. Every little bit surely does help, I assure you getting higher unbuffed strength will really help you bring up your sustainable dps. Stamina is important, but once you can take a few rounds of AE's it doesn't matter much and really won't help your raid complete its objective. Scouts on a raid have in general 4.5-5k hp, that's enough to take a few rounds from some of the nastier AE's, some obviously need immediate curing.  </P> <P>In repsonse to your comments on attack rating, this way SOE does this is very odd. Let's say i have 750 attack but I'm trying to attack a red mob and can't hit it. If I complete the HO Swindler's Luck which is like 15 attack or so you will see your hit percentage go from about 5% to 50%. One high-end example I can think of. When you fight Darathar you will hit for a very low percentage since he con's red. However if you complete a Swindler's Luck HO your hit percentage will increase dramatically. In closing I'd say don't really pay attention to the attack rating and look more at parses, comparing relative strength values and such.</P>
