So can different colour poisons stack now or are they still not stackable? I had heard some people saying they thought the dd's stacked but not the dot. Anyone have any insight on this?

I am currently stacking 4 different color poisons and they all seem to proc, though, I've only noticed them proc 2 at a time never more than that.

Only one damage and one debuff poison at any time will proc. You can have as many icons as you want up, but if you actually look at the logs, you'll see only one damage poison firing, and only one debuff poison firing at a time. The rest are "in the queue" waiting for their chance when the existing poison wears off. (100/200 procs or 12 hrs, whichever comes first)

You can stack one of each color of poison on your buff window. Running more then 1 damage poisons can increase your proc chance and increase your dps. However only 1 damage poison can be ticking at a given time. The use for running more then 1 poison is to try and minimize the time the mob your fighting doesn't have poison on em ticking away.

Also I personally have ran 5 poisons at once and have seen max of 2 myself go off at once. I pretty much run 2 poisons now however (only did 5 for test purposes).

I can't speak for debuff poisons since haven't had enough experience with em.

Flitch Flea 48 Assassin

Its amazing that these myths still abound.

TESTED fact only one damage poison will ever proc at one time.having more than one damage poisons up at the same time does NOT increase your proc chances. This is said simply because peeps who run with 5 see what they want to see and dont want to look like an idiot ie"it SEEMS to proc more" when in actuality ....it doesn't.And if you see 2 poison procs go off at the same time...take a closer look. It's the same poison double procing because of a 2 attack skill or you are dual wielding. It's not 2 seperate poisons.

TESTED fact 1 damage poison and 1 debuffer poison does stack. My personal favorite is the poison debuffer. That truly does increase your proc rate

there are other posts on the subject longer and more in depth than this one

anyone wanting to know for sure should a.test using them themselves and b.read the other poison posts but do not believe that stacking damage poisons somehow gives you a benifit. Its a waste of money and makes you look dumb.

"I am currently stacking 4 different color poisons and they all seem to proc, though, I've only noticed them proc 2 at a time never more than that. "

This is WRONG WRONG WRONG, only the strongest poison will proc (this is determined buy poisoning skill required on the item). However there is still one VERY good reason for stacking 2 poisons, You dont have to worry about running out. A single poison buff will only proc 100 times(80 times on some of the player made stuff) So once your best poison wears off you got a backup in place untill you can recast your best one.

NPC sold damage poisons proc 100 times and have 5 charges.Player made damage poisons proc 200 times and have 7 charges.Player made debuff poisons proc 80 times. (used to be 40)One damage poison and one debuff poison will proc at any given time, no matter how hard you try, or how many icons are showing.

A slight deviation, do poisons proc with ranged, or just melee? To be honest, I have never thought of this til now. Thanks.

of course they proc on ranged and a lot more than melee too
