<DIV>The few people I have talked to said to fo ebon leafblades but I don't like the looks of weilding a spear. Why do people like leafblades...is it because it has a low delay?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like the traditional look of assassins that weild small weapons (daggers, shortswords).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does anybody have a suggestion what to get besides the leafblade and maybe a picture of it?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks :smileyhappy:</DIV>

well you can take any ornate spear and see how it looks.. I don't like them much myself either. But I guess they proc significantly more due to slow delay <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I also hate the fact that I have to use a cedar LONGbow because it procs more than the short one as well... *$%#&! big bow looks ugly and has worse stats than the short one <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> In eq2 if you want to look good you'll have to be gimped <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>The longer delay weapons proc more offen? That doesn't make any sence.</P> <P>I figured the faster you swing the more chance you have for the weapon to proc.</P>

<DIV>My favored crafted piercing weapon is the ebon sai. :smileyhappy:</DIV>
<DIV>Can you post a screenshot of that please? I only saw a screen of an ebon great axe which looks really cool, so I'd like to know if more rare crafted weapons have a special skin <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</DIV>

<DIV>Really nice stats!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Neat looking skin also but I never liked how the Sai's scaled to my woodelf. The handles come up to my neck. :smileysad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So the ebon weapons don't have a unique look to them? That looks like a regular sai with a multi colored skin to it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I hear that the short sword looks nice... anybody have pictures of that?</DIV>

For grouping dual wielders I highly recommend the sai. The str and power on that are by far the best. For a slashing alternative I went with the rapier--smaller power, but same str. People like the leafblade because they saw a few of them on the top melee hits chart and assume since it has a higher dmg per attack that they'll get bigger hits from it. That isn't true as the dmg on a weapon doesn't affect your combat arts, but that's why they are popular. All dw weaps are the same dps just as all 1h are the same and all 2h are the same. So, it comes down to stats and looks. If you're a grouping t5 assassin you're likely after str and power as your main stats. The sai rates the highest there. Here's a site with all the ebon weap stats: http://www.eversor.com/public/ws/t5rare.html<div></div>

This post is exactly what I thought about when writing my reply. Yes the proc % <U>over time</U> is supposed to be the same on all weapons, but I said that slower weapons have a higher % of procing on <U>each hit</U>. This is the reason why you see your poison go off so often on bow attacks, since they have insanely high delay. Now I'm not claiming I know everything about this game's mechanics, but I'm assuming if youre using poison with a 7.0 delay bow, you have 58.3% chance of procing on each shot. If I'm wrong about this, please enlighten me, I'm always seeking deeper insight <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
You do not one hit mobs you usually fight, you hit them several times during a fight. So of course slower delay weapons have a higher proc rate per single hit, but as fights usually last for about half a minute or longer, this is not the important number. It's the chance to proc over time, as you said, so in the end it doesn't matter if you are using high or low delay weapons. Actually if you're fighting a very high lvl mob compared to your level you are likely to miss more hits, which could lead to less procs with a low delay weapon, because you have fewer swings that possibly could hit. I think o_0 <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. I'd say it's just a matter of taste which kind of weapon you're using, that's why they implemented this system. For bows I'd say you're actually right, because you only have 2 or 3 styles that you use during a fight (I don't use bow skills at all, so it doesn't matter for me personally). <div></div>

<P>Well you wont be missing much after sticking Punch Blade and Anathema hehe <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Yeah ok <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I suppose it doesn't matter much with melee weapons. Still, it does help with proccing more on melee CAs which can sometimes take a bit of time to execute. But yes, it makes a huge difference on bows. Kind of interesting way of implementing procs heh.. I just wish they'd be more clear with such descriptions, not forcing us to read Dev Tracker to have a clue about how it all works.</P>
