Hi,I am a lvl 22 assassin and am having a heck of a time soloing. Even blue mobs kick my [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]. This didn't used to be the case, only since I hit 20. Are there any new solo tactics that I should be using, or am I pretty much SOL trying to solo as an assassin?Rathamia Lvl 22 AssassinGuk Server

<DIV>do your lvl 20 armor quests and soloing will be easy, i had trouble around that level also because i only had 450ac then i did my AQ and had almost double and it was np</DIV>

ya, you should be able to solo the cackling cadavers in nektulous at that level.

<DIV>I noticed that my soloing ability was slowly dwindling off myself post 20. I just started joining more groups...</DIV>

<DIV>Keep your armor and combat arts up-to-date and you should have no problems soloing.  Also, in my experience it's much better exp overall to kill blues off extremely fast with little to no rest (like I did with kodiaks, snakes or crabs in Nektulos Forest) than to kill yellows which'll hit you regularly for 100+ a pop when you only have about 1khp to begin with, even with updated armor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The problem that <STRONG>I </STRONG>have now with soloing is that I don't know where there are good soloing spots for level 27 since the aforementioned mobs have greyed out. :smileyindifferent:</DIV>

<DIV>This is apparently the first level I've reached where I'm not able to solo green^^ mobs anymore.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's a little depressing but at least I can still solo yellows.  Multiples are out of the question (unless they are grey); they simply hit too hard and it's impossible to get any stealth combos going.</DIV>

<DIV>Yep, it's all about AC now. Add 200-300 points and you'll be amazed.</DIV>

<DIV>i think the crabs in TS and Nek are a good basis to see if you are ready to solo much of anything try those before the cacklings as they dont aggro and are a lvl or two below them.  try to keep your items up to date (if i can afford it i keep everything orange when i am in a buying mood) use the highest poison you can, if you havent started checking out player made poisons for shame on you :smileymad: and try to sneak or or at least get a bow shot off on it.  when im soloing yellows or double up greens (the first things i will do is make sure they are solo and scout the area so i know what spawns where and the terrain to so i dont get any suprises cause i hate debt heh), which is slower lvling for me than just mass murdering greens and blues, then make sure im buffed to include pathfinding, i will lead with backshot -forget what the exact names are- and start running backward, put the ranged attack icon on and hit open shot, this usually gives me 3 or 4 shots off while the mob still hasnt gotten in range to get one off, if you have the room you can get a mob down to half its health while it hasnt touched you yet (normally they get you for a couple hits though by the time you get it to half health havent worked it out yet as to the exact reasons why that is. double ups are amazingly easy this way.  espescially if you can get it confused by a river edge :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-bad points to this approach</DIV> <DIV>*can be amazingly expensive depending on the arrows you are using</DIV> <DIV>*its not time efficiant, i really only use it if its some mob i need for a quest and its just quicker to solo it than finding group.</DIV> <DIV>*room to move, you need alot of room to back up that far so its tough to find a place to use it (in nek espescially)</DIV> <DIV>*havent tried it since the "big patch" so i dont know if they changed anything</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>G/L</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>MFC</DIV>

TS, EL, and Zek have excellent soling for low/mid 20's and up. I had the same problem where my soling went downhill, at about 30 I tried again and was able to solo oranges though (using arrows as a first hit, not even using my assassins blade). The oranges were a bit tough but doable, yellows werent bad at all.
