<DIV>I wouldn't buy it at all. I would just buy the adept 1 version of the ability (which I have) and not upgrade it unless I got really lucky and won a master drop for it. It doesn't take 15 gold to make that item, so I know that price would just be a rip off.  There's no point really to get a expensive adept 3 when I can just buy the adept 1 for very little (I got mine for 1 gold) and it's just as good. With the fact that it's going to get replaced, I wouldn't spent a ton of money on a ability that's only going to get upgraded.</DIV>

<DIV>I dont think you should ever upgrade a skill.  I mean come on, you know there will be expansions and you know that they will introduce new skills and even the 50's may get replaced.  Always save your money, the interest you get in the bank is great!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously, upgrades to spells are more valuable to an individual player when they get them early in the ability's life cycle.  For instance, assassin's balde will be much more valuable to a 24ish player than a mid thirties player.  However, the mid thirties player generally has alot more cash and more frequently has the type of coin stockpile you're looking for so you need to strike a balance in your pricing.  I cant really give you a price because you are talking about something very server specific, but I might spend 5g on the jasper to make this adept (the master I would pay considerably more for).  Personally, even when an ability will be replaced I still see value in upgrading because I a) have money, b) do more damage, c) am a more efficient group member, d) I like seeing big damage, and e) plan on upgrading everything at somepoint anyway ( 2 masters down, many more to go).  </DIV>
