<DIV>Just wanted to know if there were any consequences for using the skill other than wasting your first stealth move. It has a extreme aggro range (nearly out of visual range), and I've also noticed that if you are in a group, the mob heads straight for the next person in your party.</DIV>

<DIV>I use Stalk to pull at times, but be warned it has some quirkey things to it.</DIV> <DIV>1) If you pull a mob with stalk and it gets to your area but your group is still out of agro range it will stay on you.</DIV> <DIV>2) It doesn't always go after the next closest group member, I have noticed it usually goes after the priest or sometimes a caster, I haven't seen a patern yet to know why but I do know it has nothign to do with who is closer.</DIV> <DIV>3) If you pull with stalk I would recomend having a Incoming message and a good tank, if the tank can taunt or AE taunt while the mob is incoming you can keep agro controlled. Then sneak up and use a medium to low dmg steath ability so you don't take agro back, save your extreme damage stealth ability for later in the fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Tip from a Ogre Assassin who knowz his stuff :smileymad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When stalk pulling, activate hunters instinct right after the pull for the agro to remain on the Assassin. I currently use Master 1 stalk and find it extremely useful in those "Hey Tom, pull that named across the zone" pulls where our enchanter dosnt wish to die...<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Have fun</DIV>

<DIV>I only use stalk to pull while I'm solo and only on mobs that I can't sneak up on. Like Kilrtom said, I use Hunters instinct straight away because I know I'm going to get hit out of stealth anyway.</DIV>

WAY longer range than a bow or taunt from a fighter, and it doesn't take but one hit to take aggro off whomever it runs to typically. The only time I've seen problems is when they run for the healer and do enough damage to him/her that they have to heal themselves, thereby generating their own aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When soloing I use one of the ranged skills since I can't use those (easily) while close up.</DIV>

<DIV>Theres another quirk you failed to mention.... doesn't happen all the time but it can be annoying. Chalk it up to a bug or just dumb luck but say your in RV and your after the squirells, two ^^ Orange's are in close proximation of one another and are not grouped of course... pull with stalk and you may agro not one but two and end up running to zone back to EL. I noticed this bug when grinding 4 levels near the North Bandit Camp in TS... and it has persisted still to this day. Its not always a given, hell its about 5% of the time when the mobs are close but it does happen so be ready. I have started relying more on my bow instead of Stalk anyway, or in my case Shadows. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lethal Resolve or the skill under it, believe its mentioned above the name slips my mind, are a must to get to adept 1. I dont recommend getting anything higer in your skills then adept 1 till you start getting non-replacable skills... that is money that could be used down the road towards your high end Adept 3's... However, I do know that Evade is a skill we get early on and has no replacement... rumors are that it is bugged but I find this not to be the case... Upgrade this to Adept 3 for sure... For those of you sketchy on what evade actually does, as was I in mid-teens, it lowers your hate level with target so if you generate agro from the tank fire it up and the tank has better odds of pulling it off you. Or you can activate it as well as Friendly Shadows (could be wrong on name) prior to dropping your bombs... to prevent the agro from hitting you to begin with.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV align=center>Huntryss Elvenchild</DIV> <DIV align=center>35 Assassin</DIV><p>Message Edited by HuntressSWG on <span class=date_text>12-24-2004</span> <span class=time_text>07:28 AM</span>

<DIV>I'm not sure this is a bug. I think the mobs are chaining aggro, ie - if you pull 1 kos mob past an unlinked, but still kos buddy, the aggro will chain to the unlinked mob. Much the same as "social" mobs in EQ1. Personnal I like it - it keeps a little bit of pulling skill in the game imo</DIV>

The healer heals the mob I pulled and seems to get aggro that way. But I can tag a mob right next to a non-healer mob and not have that happen.

Some unlinked mobs have proximity aggro. If you pull a similar mob within 5-6 "feet" of another, both of them will come running. </DIV>

On the ways of testing out how they react to stalk pulls.1)They go for lowest lvl in group firs2)If they are the same lvl they go for lowest armor class (or casters since they are usually the same thing)I have done this over and over with groups just to see.The real reason this happens is that imagine all of your aggro lvls as a number. Everyone in a group starts out at 0. By casting stalk you actually set yourself to -1 and the rest of the group is still at 0. Unless someone heals or buffs (like hunters instinct as mentioned above) Then the normal agro rules apply.Roloc
