<DIV>What are some good places to solo as a level 20 assassin? Also interested in the next couple of levels. In addition, are there any soloable quests for good exp? Thanks in advance. </DIV>

<DIV>Sneak through Nektulos and kill on the beach of Thundering Steppes. The crabs there are lower level (although there's no guards to run to) and there's some soloable undead you can chew up pretty easily as well.</DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#cc33ff>Right on - I second that, Nek is the place to be. Bout to hit 23 and get boxes pretty quick there while doing guild writs.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>Thundering Steppes is definately a good place. There are plenty of white and yellow cons that you can solo pretty effectively. I dont like Nektolus myself as I have a tendancy to get adds when I try to solo there... </DIV>

<DIV>Thats a good point. TS is a lot more solo friendly than Nek.</DIV>

<DIV>I am going to hit up TH tonight - I meant to last night, but was to busy with RL stuff. I keep hearing good things about it, so I`mma check it out. I really need to finish my AQs though - wish I had the time this weekend to group for it - oh well! Soon I am sure! And thanks for the info on TH.</DIV>
<DIV>the cackling cadavers in nek have been good to me at 22 - I usually take them out 9 of 10 tries - every once in a while I'll get one that blocks a ton or hits me more etc... and I have to bail, but it's been good so far and can complete guild writs at the same time.</DIV> <DIV>I'm going to check out TS now too...</DIV>

<DIV>The kodiaks in Nek are good exp and the pelts sell to merchants for over 1s each.</DIV> <DIV>If you can find some rumbleroot saplings that are not too high con to you, those give great exp and drop chests often. Only problem with rumbles is that they come in 3's</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also was able to solo crabs on the beach and various animals and undead in Thundering Steppes, however I think that my best exp was the bears in Nek.</DIV>

I liked doing Cadavers in nek aswell. and there are solo rumbleroots in where some of the motley kodiaks spawn but they are a little weaker than the ones that come in groups of 3.
<DIV>I agree about Nek - it's got some good solo opportunities. The thing that bugs me is the number of roaming critters that will creep up on you as adds while you're busy! The Thundering Steppes is so wide open you can see everything for miles and not get caught off guard so easily. And hey--the silly hawks drop Carbonite Armor! :smileyvery-happy:</DIV>
<DIV> <P>IMHO Nek is good for soloing if you stay away from group mobs. I usually pick up the Milita kodiaks writ and the Sea buc's crab writ for SP when soloing.</P> <P>The giants in Nek are pretty good for groups as well, seem to have decent chest drop rates as well.</P></DIV>
<DIV>I've had a difficult time soloing these mobs (at 21) I'm assuming you are all starting a few levels later? Or what am I doing wrong? =) </DIV>

<DIV>Don't be fooled. They are relatively good mobs to solo, but that doesn't make them easy =)</DIV>

<DIV>i've solo'd in nek and TS at lvl 22, the cadavers in nek can sometimes catch you off guard and completely own you, but 9/10 times your ok. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but i've gotta say, experience in both places is pretty bad in my opinion, i guess solo experience isnt great, but i mean it took me about 35 minutes to gain about 6% of my lvl... thats fighting the skellies in nek, they hit hard and usually leave me with fairly low life, so downtime isnt great. i think grouping is the only way forward in eq2, i cant imagine what its like soloing at 40+..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I would prefee to group at anytime... thats the way to make exp fastest</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But if you solo , at lvl 22-24 around there, go pick up the crabs at NF beach.</DIV> <DIV>They are ok , just make sure you find "solo" mobs, they also drop some ok items you can sell for decent credits in freeport</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just my 2cp</DIV>

Well in early 20's I would say 20-23/24 you should be concentrating on your AQ's and Jewelry pieces. By 20 they are worn out if you haven't been upgrading them. Adding Armor Class is critical when you move to Tier 3. Nek skellys/crabs like everyone else says for soloing if you must get away from the questing for a bit, but without the upgraded equipment you will have a difficult time. I myself got very frusturated (as do a lot of posters here) when I couldn't solo those none up-arrow yellows/blues. It was trivial after the equip upgrade.Check the brokers (Local and Fence) everyday for upgraded jewel pieces.
