<DIV>It's right where they say he is.  You trigger his spawn so he won't be on track so actually go into the canyon by the towers <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by khalysta on <span class=date_text>11-17-2004</span> <span class=time_text>12:37 AM</span>

I guess the rewards is that you become an Assassin

<DIV>Yup that is the assassin quest.  You go and meet up with dranok and then do a task for him to attain assassin.</DIV>

You'll have to petition for a GM to get it back.

Oh... I avoided them alright, but somehow on the way out I got aggro and got smacked while I was talking to Dranok.Rather than come from behind, as one would expect if you got aggro while you were running past them, they came around the front. It would have been nice if they had scripted the quest so that the possibility of losing a shard was reduced.

<DIV>I still cannot locate him.  Are we talking the two towers near Ohlmgran?  Or are the orc towers somewhere else.  Nothing spawns anywhere in that area for me.  Very frustrating.</DIV>

OK guys I have an issue too, I found him in the valley and he poped up next to me, when I was talking to him he gave me two choices of things to say, and I chose one and he attacked me. So I ran because I saw he was a lvl 40 and I ran far enough away that he got off me. When I went back to go and talk to him again he was gone and I am now unable to find him, can anyone tell me what to do?

This whole quest is so messy, for everyone who cannot find him, go to crossroad , then streigth south in line till you hit mountains (surely avoid enemies<img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) and explore small passage in shape of T , he spawned in east branch of that T shaped valley for me, but on the third time i explored it which really sucks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. Also, this quest is SOLO because you will be teleported to separated zone which requres only some careful appropach, there are lvl 40+ mobs so no stealth will help, Just take trip around the small lake , that's save way, around it so you get behind lines of enemies, and in small building there is one white solo guard and blue captain, pretty easy fight, just be careful because around the building sometime goes patrol of one lvl 40 scout<img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, return the same way and talk with Dranok again. Be nice to him so he woun't attack you <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> cyas

However, after talking with Dranok again and completing my task, my shard was there for me where I left it.

I got aggro from one of the lazy guards guarding the door, but I managed to ditch him and leave him in another part of the camp. (Very aptly named, too... it didn't even bother trying to walk back to its post.) Then I snuck into the building and completed the objective. Then I decided to leave by going around the other direction instead of the direction I came in. Just as I got within sight of Dranok, I saw a bunch of the big guys running towards me. I quickly ran up to Dranok and started the conversation to leave the zone, but the big guards killed me before I could finish. When I revived, Dranok was nowhere to be seen in the Commonlands.Luckily, the next day there was a server reset/patch, which took care of the missing shard....

<DIV>He wont appear on track cause when you get close he will spawn for you. He is at the entrance to the valley on the southern most edge of the map before it starts to turn towards freeport. I did  this at level 18 predator and got a Assassin Blade for it. Cant use it yet though. </DIV>

<DIV>I did the quest at 19th and only had trouble with the red orcs scattered throughout the instanced zone.  The only way I could get past them, even using Hunt, was to swim in the pond on the right side.  The pond had barracuda in it, but they were green and didn't aggro.  I got past the lazy guard (white con) because he couldn't see me, then I Shadow Bladed the good captain into an early grave after a short fight.   I had enough left to punish the guard for his laziness, then went back around to the pond for my exit to Dranok.  Since the red guards saw through Hunt, I decided to leave it off as I left Rotfist's building and jumped in the pond.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bad idea.  Those cute little barracuda didn't aggro me on the swim over because they couldn't see me!  Picture this: a small rat, running for his life, with half a dozen fish snapping at his tail!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I ran back to Dranok and went through the quest dialog as fast as I could, grabbing the stiletto, scanning, answering questions...all while being slowly eaten!  At least it was instanced and the fish didn't zone with me.  <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I've been having problems finding him as well. I've been searching in the suggested spots for about an hour now, and he never spawns. I remember once a while ago I was in a group with someone who was on the quest, and he talked to Bileblood who then attacked him. Could this be why he won't spawn for me?

<DIV>You must go into the canyon which is at -400,672, but first you must talk to Emissary  Mitysa in EF</DIV>

<DIV>Try following the wall all around the canyon. I had him spawn for me along the right side of the canyon ent. He called me a lazy dervish cutthrought or something of that sort... Remember to act like a Derv! Dont tip him off that your not who your supposed to be.</DIV>

Well I found him today. He was in the spot that I was looking in yesterday, but for some reason I triggered the waypoint which spawns him today, and I couldn't do it yesterday.

I faced with the same problem - my shard is in the hidden encampment zone and Dranok doesn't respawn for me any further. But when I talked with Mitsya to complete the quest, the shard was recovered automatically - it looks like they took care.By the way, there is no need to deal with the lazy guards - the captain is visible from outside the house. You can use "Open shot" to start the combat, the captain will run to you.

<DIV>hi, for who's got some trouble to complete the quest there is a lil tip.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>when you spawn with Dranok juste go to the lil lake and swimm near the house where is the target then go to max range outside the houe and behind him (behind the house) and pull only the target with HUNT skill he will come alone... kill, swimm  again and congrats you assassin, welcome...</DIV>

<DIV>When I completed this I posted a spoiler in here so if you'd care to read just do a Search (if it ever works). For those going for it here's a little spoiler: You DO NOT have to ever enter the building with the your target in it. I'd suggest noticing which way your target's facing and, as a good Assassin should, figuring out what your strength of attack is and using it to complete your objective. If you like bows it'll be even easier <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by Hecklerkoch on <span class=date_text>02-16-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:41 AM</span>

I sneaked in past the lazy guard who doesn't see stealthed characters, killed the target on the spot, then sneaked out without any problem or add whatsoever.
