I know the other items you can get from the Head of Malkonis are better, but would anyone equip this item over thier current charms? Any insight/parses would be welcomed for those of use debating whether or not to get it. While it might seem like a decent item.. I personally either wouldnt wear it, or would macro it for equiping / using and then reequiping my other charm. Most likely though, I'll never use it. Too much hassle for such an ehhhh effect. 20s DPS mod of 10% isnt really all that impressive to me. Might have been better if the recast wasnt on a 5m timer...

It *might* just be useful if you are missing a a few shots in combat and are scrabbling around for a +ranged boost. If you're using a STR charm and find your STR at above, say, 600 in raids, it could be more beneficial.

I don't think I would use it for the 10% dps boost though.

Mirdo

If they made that a proc, it would completly change it's usefulness. I'd wear that if the DPS mod proc'd ~1.8 times a min.

Maybe I'll go test it i got one on one of my old characters i never use, maybe they might stack, hopefully it will be noticeable

<STRIKE>2 different buffs, but you can have only 1 PROC buff active at a time, so if the marr's cloak dps proc is active and this one fires it will cancel marr's proc and over-write it with this one.</STRIKE>

Disregard, reread the item description. Indeed it's a buff, not a proc. My bad.

Message Edited by dubbs on 01-29-2007 07:49 AM

I don't see why everyone is down on this item.

First, it's not a proc. It's a buff. So any proc (such as Marr's Cloak) shouldn't affect it at all.

Second, it would seem to me that it is basically similiar to our own Killing Instinct, which as you know, also has a short duration on a 5 min recast timer. I would hope that no ranger says "Screw it, Killing Instinct is too much of a hassle to click so I'm not using it".

Yeah, I can swap in and out the charm as I see fit, but that IS a hassle in my opinion. I wouldnt wear it for it +'s, I wouldnt want it equipped while raiding, I'd much rather have my hex dolls.
