Woodworker route is all but useless except for making your own bows, making arrows is a huge timesink for the number you will need and it's more economical to hunt for money and buy arrows, not to mention less tedious. Alchemist gets my vote and I just wish I could respec my choice

I would definatly take Woodworker (Fletcher) off of the table. Its just not efficient for you to make your own arrows right now and you only need a new bow once every 10 levels. Alchemist would be a good choice as you will go through a fair amount of poisons in your Ranger Life. On the other hand Jeweler would also be a nice choice as you woul always have your spell upgrades available and jewelery.

My suggestion is to wait on your tradeskill choice for a little while. If you have to have that tradeskill fix go ahead and start but dont go past lvl 19 until you have had time to play on your server for a little while.

This brings me to the next suggestion - see what your server is more populated with Jewelers or Alchemists and choose the opposite, or better yet, make a friend with one of those classes, that would be willing to help you out and choose the opposite. To be honest I really did not find a problem with getting poisons until i was in T7 and the rare ones do kinda hurt the pocketbook.

But on the other hand i've always found that Jewelers are in more demand than alchemists.

Hiya Befallen ranger brethren.

I suggest either Jeweller or Alchemist if you wish to compliment your ranger. Jeweller for adpet 3's and alchemist for poisons. (and fighter adept III's).

Make both in my humblest of opinions. Make a fighter/alchemist. And use him as your "Oh crap I am out of vitality" character.

I'm a 70 Jeweler, my wife is a 70 Alchy. Rare poisons/potions are pretty cheap right now. But as more and more people hit level 70, the cost of scintillating dusts have been creeping up. It's a cause and effect thing. As fewer AD3 spells/arts are being made, there are going to be fewer dusts on the market.

As the dusts become more expensive, so will poisons and potions. I've already switched to master potions as lambent dusts are still selling for a couple silver (if you watch the broker), and just use the scintillating dusts for GM poisons. I think that in the near future, being an Alchy is going to be the way to go. You'll be able to make all your poisons at cost.

I don't really get a lot of use out of my jeweler. The occassional rune (I make for cost + the dust) and imbued ring. I haven't received a single order for adornments yet, so I don't know if there is eventually going to be a market for it. Right now, they are still too expensive for most to even consider. But it will be nice to be able to add adornments to my jewelry items at cost.

MAke an alchemist.. once u get to t7 mastercrafted poisons get to be overpriced because of the dust. Being able to make fighter ad3s will provide u with the dust u need for poisons and the ability to make them.
