I've played hunters in wow, Rangers in eq, almost any game i am fine with pvp. Except eq2.I have a level 27 ranger with decent gear( not fabled mastercraft legedary etc), also i have app4 for most of my spells i cast during pvp fights.when im fighting like a level 23 i literally can't even get 1/5 of there hp down while he drops in like 3 seconds. why?<div></div>

<DIV>Your probably fighting twinks... characters who have 100% mastercrafted+ gear and every spell or combat-art at adept3, plus some masters. Many also lock their level around 24 just so they can farm kills in the easy zones.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The difference between an ordinary and twink character is pretty big. The upgrade in spells alone can double DPS at that level no problem. And they're gonna have stats very close to the soft cap. Not to mention the avoidance/mitigation to make them harder to hit/kill.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, rangers dont get their big time ranged CA's until later. Tier 3 isnt exactly ranger friendly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Choose your targets wisely. A ranger fights best at range, not at close up. Plate wearers and good healers are very tough opponents. Bruisers and brigands will get upclose and outmelee you, as well as swashies Also, find a good group if you can.

<DIV>harvest some rares and get yourself some mastercrafted and adept3s. try to kite opponents using snares, once you need to fight up close don't forget to switch to defensive stance.</DIV>
