I've leveled my ranger up to 20, and while I'm waiting on a friend who's lagging a bit behind, I'd like to run some useful quests. Are there any good armor and weapon quests I can access at this level? Also, is there a best choice of weapon types for rangers (swords, rapier and dagger, dual spears, spear and something else, anything and shield)? If not, would a few of you kind folk mind telling me what you've chosen and why? Thanks!

I finally found the 20th level armor quest for rangers, but even if by some miracle I finish these quests before 30th level, I need weaponry. Any suggestions? I doubt I'm wealthy enough to buy good crafted weapons, so it's down to questing.

Sell your adept 1 drops on the broker and you'll be plenty wealthy enough to afford crafted weapons Badlands Stilettos were good, but I cant remember what level they were.PGT heritage will be good for you later on too.Get yourself into Stormhold and start the quest line from the guy pretending to be a statue just donw from the entrance, it's long and frustrating but does give a pretty decent bow, which I cant remember the name of either

Regarding weapon types, is any one sort better than the others? Also, searching the broker for primary dual-wield slashing weapons, I see only axes and shortswords. Is the classic longsword / shortsword pairing not allowed?

The stormhold bow, useable at lvl 28, and an awesome bow to have. Now with adornments available, don't sell it! dual wield weapons don't include mastercrafted long swords, but do include falchions. The polished granite tomahawk is a heritage quest reward that has a ward proc on it. I think it starts at 30 tho. as to ttype of damage each weapon does, I use a piercing/slashing combo, but that is my personal preference.

Message Edited by Badaxe Bart on 01-02-2007 02:34 PM

A dual wield slasher and a dual wield piercer are good to have so you can keep both skills up. Don't want to concentrate on just one and then get a sweet weapon down the line that you have no skill in and suck with. Plus I just graduated from two nice HQ rewards, the Short Sword of the Ykesha (which you can get at 40 I believe it is) and the Serrated Bone Dirk (which I don't know what level you can get it at) and had I not kept my skills up in both, I wouldn't have been able to benefit as much as I did from them
