Hawk Dive Idea

<DIV>Ok, so obviously we all ideally want it to not break stealth. We all know that, and we all should know that due to underlying pet mechanics (tied in with other mechanics) it's not possible right now. So until they manage to overhaul/redesign that part of the game that's not an options. Those of us in beta also loved it removing the stealth requirement for our CAs, but that also seems like a dream that will never come true. So what if the spell were on a toggle?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My thoughts: In playing around with this last night in a labs raid I found (with poise) that I was able to get off a Longblade -> Ranger's Blade or Longblade -> Emberstrike combo between the hawks attacks if I listened for the screeching noise it makes when it attacks. It was tricky, but doable. However, getting off Sniper's, Veiled, or even Selection with either Longblade or Surveilance to stealth is impossible. So I was thinking that the Hawk Might be usefull for some people if you chould fire off the long timers stealth attacks then toss the Hawk as a DoT while you use non-stealth and melee skills, even sneaking in a Longblade -> Ranger's Blade or Longblade -> Emberstrike combo in there. When you're done toggle off the pet. Right now it's a pain of course to have to go to Maintained Effects and cancel it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your thoughts?</DIV>

<div></div>I hate to tell you this but youve been doing it the hard way, best way to get any stealth and stealth attack off w/out fail is to cast out the hawk then cast whatever stealth your using and quickly Queue your combo, So for example hawk goes out cast stealth then hit longblade, before the long blade hit goes through hit rangers blade and he'll attack go back to invis then immediatley use rangers blade. If you do it right you shoudl be getting your back attacks right before the stealth breaks, you cant do sniper shot and veiled shot becasue the cast timers are too long<div></div>

You can do melee stealth combos you cannot do ranged ones.

I just wanna hear a devs description on why the hawk would distract say... A dragon, while a rangers pelting it in the eyes with arrows.

LOL lorelady <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I think what would be nice is if they beefed up the hawk HP even a little would help.Its extraordinary how this little beast can tank a mob(distract is the better word ofc),whilst u beat it with Triple volley,etc. If not then they really should do something unique other than partly steal grp hate-15% at m1 isnt exactly class defining spell from KoS.Other classes get fusion,rift,even castigate is better than this hawk.Summoners get Undead Tide and Plane shift.Both damage spells. Right after I do all my stealth shots. It's usually dead by the time they cycle up again.</div>
