So, I'm figuring out these poisons. I understand that crafted poisons have 100% more awesome than vendor poisons, and you can stack one poison of each of the red, blue, and purple varieties.Question 1: I've seen in a few places that rangers in the know prefer caustic (nuke) poisons to hemotoxin (DoT) poisons. A noob looking at the poison descriptions sees that the hemotoxin will do more total damage after a tick or two, so why the preference for caustic? Does it have something to with the fact that any of the poisons will proc about once per 12 seconds, and hemotoxin will only replace the last hemotox DoT?Question 2: When I inspect poisons in the broker window, they show less damage then when I inspect the same poisons when they are in my inventory. This is true without any poison-damage-increasing AA's. Do rangers get bonus posion damage? If so, where can I see how big this bonus is?

The reason that many of use use a direct damage poison over a dot is simple... You will rarely ever see the dot go the full duration, and will be over writing it often.

Rangers dont get a bonus to poison damage. Poisons damage is based off your int. Examining it on the broker more then likely is showing you a base damage. The more Int you have, the more damage your poisons will do.
