Are there benefits to haveing Surveillance M1 ?

Yes.  I have seen surveillance resisted by yellow and orange mobs to me.  Its rare but it does happen.  Have seen other rangers occasionally have theirs resisted on raids too.

The m1 version helps u offload extra aggro depending on what sequence u open up with when the tank starts taunting.Regards to pulls it wont make much difference,although there is always a small chance the mob may stop to cast and thus social aggro occurs.It happens but not so often...just bite the dust and repull <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And good luck with being Main puller...remind a tank to intercept dmg on you before doing a pull. <div></div>Surveillance does not use the to hit attribute.. cause in effect it is stealth with deaggro, if it is ressisted I am guessing the mob gets pulled anyways?? Anyways to answer your question. I see no point in upgrading Surveillance to master whatsoever really, first off it is not supposed to help your pulling, and second of as a ranger you generate so little hate anyways.EDIT: to add to this after EoF Adept 3s and Master 1s have the same to hit %, which means m1 is only increase in dmg/stat/skill or in this case hate.<div></div><p>Message Edited by RabbitFly on <span class=date_text>12-12-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:01 AM</span>

<div></div>It also seems like rangers are generating alot more hate since EoF... I have been pulling aggro several times in every group I have been, so yea a master surveillance might be worth it. In raids however I am still pretty far from the top of the parse.
