<DIV>With all the options to adorn items I haven't seen a conclusive path to take to increase the DPS of our class.</DIV> <DIV>Upon inspecting the populace of my server I have seen the same adornments across the board for most classes;</DIV> <DIV>those being the +400 health to shoulders, +400 power to head, +150 health/power to rings, etc. Does anyone else</DIV> <DIV>find these adornments useless to our class? I'm looking at applying as much STR & INT to my items as possible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only adornment that I find really useful is the judicious clasp that adds +10 DPS; and when applied to some of</DIV> <DIV>those rare neck/wrist items, you can add up a total of +30 DPS just from that adornment alone. My server has yet</DIV> <DIV>to produce anything for bows other then +slashing damage and I'm still not sure it's even worth it. I'm also considering</DIV> <DIV>applying T5/T6 adornments since the price is drastically different and then upgrading everything to T7 as the prices</DIV> <DIV>fall. Currently I'm looking at 30 plat a clasp, and that's not going to happen.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any input is appreciated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Go for all the DPS adornments. That is what I am doing. I agree they are way too expensive now but give the market time to settle. People have been blowing alot of money ot level their new skill so it is only natural they will want to recoup some of that. Wait until there is more competition and prices will go down. The problem is the wiating<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

I've not looked deeply into this but I do know armourers can make +1% Ranged crit adornment for belts (T7 fabled though). Might be useful.Mirdo.<div></div>

By that I mean, you should be able to have 1 item effect, 1 adornment. I would suspect that DPS items are the same way. So if they currently stack, I would expect this to get changed. I've also seen, as the OP mentioned, talking about using that +10 DPS mod for the neck on duel slot neck/wrist items and slapping the other two in the wrist slots for +30 DPS. I think those of you that are doing that, are going to be very upset later. Im sure that isnt what they intended when they were created, but either way, Im sure all they really need to do is adjust the stacking with DPS adornments and you've just effectively wasted 20p or more.</P> <P>I know some of you think this is a legit way of gaining 30 DPS because after all, they are all usable neck items, however, if the adornment is for a neck, but the item is being worn on the wrist you really shouldnt get the effect. Stacking issues, or misplaced adornments.. either way, I'd be all my plat this isnt working as intended. I just dont want to hear any complaints about wasted plat when the nerf bat comes rolling in. </P>
<P>well a 10% dps bonus isnt very unbalancing, to be honest its even worse once in a raid with dismishing returns.</P> <P>also it only gives some scouts a big profit, like us. others like assasin that buff themselves for 70 dps alrdy -- 20 more is not gona make a huge diference with dismishing returns.</P> <P>they can nerf it , but maybe if they look at those forums to nerf that they give us some of the things we need ...</P>

<DIV>Most important for a ranger:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fast action adorments: </DIV> <DIV>there is 2 available, one for hand slot and one for waist slot. both gives 1% to critical hit chance. </DIV> <DIV>Armorers makes the waist slot. fabled t7 adornment.</DIV> <DIV>Tailorers makes the hand slot. fabled t6 item</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Judicious Clasp:</DIV> <DIV>T7 legendary adornment made by a jeweler. Increase DPS by 10</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Strengthed Sinew:</DIV> <DIV>Made by woodworkers. T7 treasured adornment.</DIV> <DIV>+12 piercing damage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Other than that, +str +int and power/health adornemts would be the obvious choice for most rangers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

+12 damage on every single arrow fired out of our bows is indeed very very worth it. <div></div>

Question does the +12 slash or pierce dmg affect all our arrows lke for instance all three fired in triple volley or only the first one? cause we have a few multi-arrow attacks like rain, selection, triple volley and the double shot I cant remember the name of or is it our auto-attack only?<div></div>

<P>+12 on every single arrow. I’m shooting almost 50 arrows per minute, that’s about … hmm 600 additional points of damage per minute? Some of my short range CAs are doing that damage in less than a second. Do I miss something here?</P> <P> </P> <P>:smileywink:</P>

Adornments aren't supposed to be the end all uber ability. They are supposed to be small increases that add up to make you the best that you can be.<div></div>

Not so exciting, but it's something.</P> <P>As far as the DPS and Haste stacking thing. I'm pretty sure haste adornments are supposed to stack (with one notable exception: the one that goes on a weapon is +20 Haste, that does not stack. It seems to fit into the "item" haste area).</P> <P>Haste seems to be: Buffs + 1 Item + Multipul +2 Haste adornments.</P> <P>The reason I think Haste adornments are stacking as intended is because they were nerfed in beta from 20 to 2. I think that was their fix for stacking. 20 was obviously too much.</P> <P>DPS... I'm not so sure about. I would *hope* that it is working as intended right now because they were stacking in beta and were nerfed from 20 to 10. However it's hard to say if the nerf from 20 to 10 was done becuase 40DPS (if you have a neck and 2 neck/wrist items and a thrown weapon item) was an acceptable amount of DPS from adornments. Or if it was only nerfed to 10 because they were not aware of the ability to get 4 items with +DPS using the neck/wrist item... trick. I for one am not taking chances and will wait a month or two before I get +DPS on my neck/wrist item.</P> <P>I was hoping to get +poison spell dmg adornments to increase cuastic dmg but they fixed that from beta. It was defiantely not intended either so I'm not bothered. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>As far as bows this is what there was in beta:</P> <P>Woodworker: +12 crush (seems to have been removed before live), +12 pierce, +12 slashing</P> <P>Tinkerer: +12 heat, +12 cold, +12 poison, +12 disease, +12 magic, +12 mental, +12 divine (I think but not positive this existed)</P> <P>We probably have not seen the Tinkerer ones yet because no one (who's posting) has gotten that high, but then maybe they were removed also. If so that makes me really mad. Only 2 adornments for bows. :smileymad:</P>

<P>Im fairly certain the tinkerers adornments were removed. We have a (as he would like to be refered) Master Tinkerer (350) and AFAIK he does not have any reciepes for adornments, nor has he seen any.</P> <P>I know they removed / changed quite a few near the end of beta, and from the look of it, they arent quite done changing adornments. Seems like theres always a new complaint about the ever changing adornments every day. </P>

There are a plethora of melee choices, several thrown weapon choices, and only 2 bow choices (if you don't count the symbol adornments that currently will adorn bows).

I put a T1 one on my bow (was only like 5gp) just to test it, which means I'll also be able to keep checking to see if (or more likely when) it stops working. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I'm planning on waiting at least till 1/14/07 (2 months) or more to get together a list of adornments. That will give them time to sort things out I hope and also give me time to get some EoF fabled that I'll want to keep for a good long while.<BR>
