I have a 23rd season fae ranger. I got around looking at the posions. Yes, I used them. the one he's using now is 120 DD then 20/tick afterwards.I did a search around the boards and noticed ppl using different posions to debuff and even some saying you could use 2 different ones in different lines.I did a test with a yellow and red vials and one over wrote the other. Also, i've never seen any in game that has stat debuffs. At least, not in the description. I've just noticed the difference in damage. Thus some has high inital damage and lower tick damage, with others the reverse and still others had mid-range inital damage and the same damage per tick as the inital.I am lost at the point here. Of course, I could be missing something about the whole thing too. Mainly, i've been just using the vendor purchased ones but even on crafted ones for my ranger's level i have not noticed anything different besides for types of damage and maybe the range of damage they do.Anyone help?

the big difference between vendor and crafted poisons are.. crafted poisons stack, and crafted poisons have different effects.

Stacking meaning they only stack if they are of different colors. Vendor poisons however does not stack what so ever.. Vendor poisons dos not stack with crafted poisons either.. so I would go crafted all the way, especially since they are pretty cheap.. of course this can be depending and you might want to go for vendor purchased for a while to keep the costs down, however the debuffs can be nice. F. ex purple line does stat and skill debuffs, cyan line can do speed or attack speed debuffs (don't know all of the cyan ones), and the red can do different types of dmg or even give you some heals, or mana conversions. Caustic is the most favorable because it does the most dmg at hit, and does not tick, this means you can get several poisons to proc consecutive.. instead of chosing a DOT where you might loose out on some procs cause it would be no effect.

umm...Didn't realize that. hehe. That would of course make sense that crafted version stack. I guess I'll look on the broker tonight (at work atm). Thanks for the info!

You can have one damage poison, one utility poison, and one debuff poison active at once. In the new crafted poisons they are red, blue, and purple vials. Some of the older poisons were different colors.

In the old, old days you could stack one of each level of DOT and direct damage, I think 4 at once. Those were fun.

They are in higher tiers (for sure) but at lower levels you can have red purple and green damage poisons which WILL NOT stack. You can have ONE damage, ONE debuff and ONE utility (deagro, slow) equiped at the same time...
