<DIV>hi everyone. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>as some of you already know i make comics using the ranger tiger pet. i like making them and people seem to like reading them but it's going to end unless this bug or intentional change is fixed. most of you dont use the ranger pets because they dont do anything but get in the way so let me explain... no. that will take too long. let me sum up. when i summoned the tiger pet the pet window would appear and allow you to make the pet stay in one spot or follow you. these were the only commands that worked for the pet. i use the stay command in every comic. without it the pet just follows me around and wont stand where i need him to for the pictures. since the release of EoF the pet window has been broken. see pic</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.bscomics.com/sigs/nomouse.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the pet window no longer recognizes that the pet is there and it doesn't control the pet anymore. so i'd like to add this to the official list of ranger bugs. i know it's not as serious as our arrow and dps problems but without fun stuff the game loses it appeal. please devs, fix my pet.</DIV>

Yea this sucks big time.. for one if this means the end of bongo comics, which would make many rangers sad (and I am sure many more). And why would they want to dumb down an effect that is purely for fun and rp so that it becomes even more pointless. The only good thing about our fluff pet spells is exactly that they are fluff, that we get to play around with cool pets. Well if they just end up being a small graphical detail following us in a set faction they loose all their personality, like they had alot from the beginning. I will sign that they should make our fluff pets count as pets again, so at least you and everyone else get their "stay" command. And to be honest I would like to see more options when it comes to our fluff spells, but I wont rant on about that.. We are here to get the stay command back.<div></div>

don't think it is a bug, casting one of our pets now gives you a buff icon when before it would bring up the pet window, canceling the buff gets rid of the pet.

Yes the buff icon has been there for some time.. like with the mount buff icon, only this is our fluff-spell and therefore has no buff, therefore any removing of commands can be considered a pointless nerf.<div></div>

I dont use them now so removing them from the rangers arsenal would be a pointless nerf. but then every poison using ranger out there (every ranger but me probablly) would be mad. so pointless is relative to the user.

<P>U used that fucntion in game with my fluff pets as well.  I hand't brought my bear up in a while ( I like em better then the tiger ) but will try it tonight.  If it acts the same as yours I will bug it as well.</P> <P>Are you using the default UI, btw?  I had some issues with my custom UI after the latest LU affecting some windows, especially targeting.</P>

Why remove the only thing we can do with our fluff??? seems silly to me</div>

<DIV><FONT color=#66ff66><STRONG><EM>Someone needs to do something about this ! I will be so sad if there is no more Bongo and Mouse! Your comics crack me up man... the conversation with the griffon tamer. "do you have any produce... do you have any snakes..." I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I really hope your problem is resolved and you can keep making us all laugh.</EM></STRONG></FONT></DIV>

I cant see one reason why this was changed. I believe it should be changed back for anyone who likes messing around with there fluff pets. And yes I would be sad to see the comic go, its a nice break to read and laugh about this game.

I noticed the same thing while waiting around for the rest of my group to get to Achedsiem (or how ever the hell it's spelled). Summoned my Tiger and much to my surprise no pet command window. My first thought was [Removed for Content] is going on so I cancelled and resummoned and still nothing. Come on devs why waste time taking this out and totally IGNORING huge gaping holes in other areas. Besides some of us like messing with the pets, it's a fun distraction. Besides my tiger has actually been useful a few times, I've actually seen social mobs attack him and not me. Granted it didn't happen all the time but often enough that when I was soloing in my lower levels I would always have him out just in case.In other words, I agree it was pointless to take this away and it should be made the way it was before. Besides without Bongo and Mouse what will I do with my time at work??? Sheesh I might have to actually do something unthinkable, like my job /cringe.

Maybe the changed it cause you can have a deity pet up that you can command to stay or follow.<div></div>
