Rangers have to bide their time til they get into DT for 1/2 of the components needed to compete with assassins, and then, its a matter of luck of the drop. I still havent seen Bazkuls drop off Tarinax, and Ive finished my claymore on both my ranger, and my brigand. We've seen Ichorstrand drop once as well as Sarnak.. and we dont usually kill contested, so the Longbow of Corruption is prolly out of the question. Even still, theres only been 1 drop for LoC on our server and that was last week. So please, go back to the assassin forums.<BR></P>

the DW from labs are pretty crappy. and i wouldnt bring up the DOF days it was way way outta whack and you all knew it. triple volley procing 3 poisons 3 procs from your stance. eh no class could really compete with that so they fixed it. to DarkMirraxyeah we have 3 well really 2 bow attacks, but i rarely use them so i have no need for a bow really. i think it would be a great idea to have a bow option for prismatics, but imo ther shouldnt be 50 fabled bows when only 1 outta 24 classes really needs them. you guys also got the shaft on the raincaller definately should have been a t7 bow. but ive seen rangers without the vene bow parse on par with me zone wide so it can be done.

<DIV>I am always in the top 3, sometimes top 2, but you can't sit back and just shoot arrows.  Plus, being in the right group really makes a difference.  If you can, get in a group with an inquisitor or conjuror, maybe even a bard.  They have great procs that they can give you.  And trust me, I am NOT an "uber" ranger; I'm in a family guild that raids maybe two or three times a week.  It can be done <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

there is no need for that many even since all ALL tanks can use them. the point is they arent really there as ewapons its just a stat buff for most classes. and i do actually use my bow attacks but sparingly. unles you are in a greedy guild you should be the first to get pretty much any bow you want. as for not using all MY CAs do you use all yours im pretty sure most classes have a couple attacks they feel are underpowered and dont use them often. and even if they did you idea of 1/4 bow and satchel they would prolly be suppar for you and youd still whine about your dps.

ummmm through in a sarnak bow or better, with a bow that summons t8 ammo, chances are if you see both of these your most likely fully fabled and mastered, get in a group with a coercer and a dirge (least i like those 2 the most) and you should be right up near the top! 1600 + at the least <div></div>

I dont use a bow, i actually throw Beanie Babies at the mob till it gets tired then lays down in the big pile that bounced off him and i run up and put his hand in warm water.   Dont think i've ever actually done damage to a mob.  Good mezzing technique though.<div></div>

<P>The bottom line regarding itemization is that for every ranger lucky enough to have gotten a Sarnak bow early in KoS, there are 10+ raid-level rangers who got two fabled dw's before they even saw a fabled bow drop. There are raiding guilds across the servers who have seen a 20:1 or higher ratio of fabled dw's to bows. When a ranger's vast majority of dps comes from auto-attack, it's simply undeniable that this disparity in drop rates puts rangers at a major disadvantage. Sure, the dw's in labs may not be the best in the game, but they put melee dps classes at a higher dps potential way faster than if they were dependent on bows.
