What is everyone doing with thier Ranger Tree AA's?I havent seen anyone post anything in here about it so I figured I would ask and see what everyone is gonna do with their AA's in the Ranger Tree.Seems like theres alot you can do, but I wanted to ask before I start botching things. lol<div></div>

<P>I don't recall off hand the specific lines but I know the far left line is for increasing the various aspects of poisons, and the far right is for increasing different ranged combat arts, I think I will be maxing these two lines. The others I think are more for out of combat things like sprint speed and pathfinding, I don't really use these at all but I think the poison and CA lines are the best IMO.</P> <P>While I am 70 I am admittedly not the most experienced Ranger out there though, and would equally be interested in hearing everyone else's thoughts.</P><p>Message Edited by Nightmoon on <span class=date_text>11-18-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:59 AM</span>

<DIV>I am a lvl 70 ranger on Venekor pvp server... i have 60 AA right now and i have put 10 points into the multi arrow branch, 3 into flaming shot, 3 into selection and 4 into rain of arrows. Its great because they increase the damage of those combat arts while lowering the casting times. Right now it takes 1 second to fire rain of arrows master1 wich crits for over 5.5k on encounter. Warlocks cannot even out dps me if selection and rain of arrows is up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

As a 55 / 19 Ranger, I'm spending my points in the Survival Line. The Run speed helps me get those hard to reach shinies (I hunt them things almost ritualistically, lol) and the enhance to the back-up quiver is nice. I'm mainly doing the line though for the animal charm at the end, considering that I'm a Roleplaying Ranger at heart and I think that ranger's should have animal companions of some sort :smileytongue:

<DIV>Have 64 AA atm</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Going down multi shot atm. The thought of double attack ranged makes me all warm and fuzzy. Double shot requires 20 aa and i wont be touching the Stream of Arrows aa...eewwhh. So ill be maxing the other 4. Also going for conservation at the end of the poison tree and max caustic. To wrap it all up, max out Focus Aim aa. Not sure if thats 50 but should be close enough. :smileyhappy:</DIV>

<P>71 AA so far :</P> <P>5 precise shot</P> <P>5 Triple volley</P> <P>5 Selection</P> <P>5 Rain of Arrows</P> <P>1 Double Shot</P> <P>I hope they solve the things going on with the timers of those aa that cant be reduced under half of its original timer .. or it seems so. If they dont solve it i may use 2 of triple volley, 2 of Selection and 1 of Rain to get the Stream at 5 =( as we need 20 for double shot anyway.</P> <P>from now i will get</P> <P>5 Caustic</P> <P>3 Defensive</P> <P>5 Focus</P> <P>5 Killing</P> <P>5 honned</P> <P>that will make me hit 94? so the last 6 im not sure <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>20 for double shot line fist then either start filling up caustic poison or focus time increase</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>on beta double shot was quite nice coupled with the illusions 10 percent double shot chance especially when rain of arrows double shot and crit happened. Not advisable to use at start when tank pulls a group of raid mobs tho :smileytongue:</DIV>

<DIV> 67 aa's atm.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Went down focusing line first, with 5 into the dance of trees, a small sidetrip to pathfinding(5) to make bards jealous, then 5 in focus aim and currently 2 in honed reflexes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As i play on a pvp server, the run speed is incredibly useful when solo, defensive stance with no penalties makes fighting off that assassin a bit easier, and focus aim for 15 secs with raincaller's proc makes a mess out of those runners you have to chase down. Critting on autoattacks while sprinting after people who cheetah and hitting for over 1k each hit. I fully intend to put 5 in honed reflexes and Killing Instinct, get Extension and then go down Multishot line. As much as i love my poison lines, i can't really see much point in putting aa's into proc chances when there are other lines that will save your [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] with raw damage or quicker cast times. A personal opinion of course, but i already have 52% crit chance on poisons/procs from int line on predator aa's and run around with str around 560 most times but int only in the mid 100's depending on which resist gear i'm using at the time. If i was speccing for a pve server, i would likely have gone with poison damage and multishot lines to gear more towards raids, but as it stands, i'm generally in the top 4 dps getting beat by a swashie at the top of the parse, the assassins next and then me, or if my raid leader tells people not to buff the ranger, then i might fall to 6th behind the summoners.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> Of course...when it comes to ranger vs ranger pvp, Skitzo has a bit of an advantage in the faster casts on CA's, but i get to laugh and run away as his group closes in most times. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Nagous 70 ranger of Den of Madness, Venekor server</DIV>

<div></div>Enhance Pathfinding 5 gives +30% making pathfinding a 46% runspeed increase for the group. My new fae with sylvan form (+5%) maxes out at 51%, making my old char on his carpet seem slow like the old geezer he is <span></span><span>:smileywink:</span><div></div>

going straight for the end of the multi shot line first, with 5 points into every stop except for stream. after that i'll probably go to the poison line or survival line, or finish the int line in the old AAs.

<DIV>I'm a quester/crafter/gatherer/shiny addict and I immediately went down the adroit/pathfinding path.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Having the ability to nix your adroit negatives was very sweet. This allows me to be in defensive mode for most of my PvE encounters and even makes a roundshield a viable option. With the new and improved adroit I'm able to take on more challenging groups and slowly grind them OOP, while still doling out respectable DPS.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Having the ability to run (16%+30%+10%(JB))=56% makes my horse obsolete. Don't mind shedding the gimped horse, since I can no longer stun and back up for ranged attacks :smileymad: I will no longer have to dismount every time I enter an encounter either. Bye bye pony! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Next, I will probably go all the way down the ranged line to increase my initial ranged DPS. Next will be the complete poison line. </DIV>

Im going down the multi-shot tree and then im gonna spend points in focus and try that out. but im gonna respec it all just so I can try the extra ranged AA + the hookshot AA to check how I will work as a puller on raids. imagine my pull line will be "one dead ranger coming up!"<div></div>
