Is it wrong when I'm looking forward to the level 40 PVP game on my twinked brigand more than I am to the upcoming expansion?Making us believe they were improving Hawk Dive (something I use right now so I can harvest...) and then reverting it 2 days later may have been the final straw for me.Maybe I'm alone, but judging from the activity and chatter on the live servers, I don't think I am.-Tob<div></div>

The hawk dive revert is definitely a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]ty move and one that personally really burns my bacon. I will still by the expan and play the hell out of it though cause well I'm hooked hehe not much else to do in my town. I just wish we had a better dev who could either tell us the facts without indian giving or at the least come back out and explain [Removed for Content] is going on and why hawk got reverted. If it's cause of pvp which it prolly is /sigh I really [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]in hate pvp.

<DIV>Is the CA back to the original description? If not, it's probably just a bug.</DIV>

<DIV>I'm buying it for the nostalgia factor, but I am very disappointed in the lack of solo content not just at the higher levels, but throughout EoF in general. Many of the quests I went through, especially in Steamfont, required being visible in heroic areas, going to a dungeon's heroic areas, or killing a heroic mob. Even just the run of the mill typically solo "kill x of this creature" ones. The solo content at the higher levels is nearly non-existent, with a handful of quests in Loping that nearly all turn heroic one or two steps down the line. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm weighing my options. I love Gwyn, and if I continue to play her regularly, then she'll have to become a grouping ranger. But then I've thought about going back to EQLive, if I'm going to be forced to group to get anywhere again. I've been thinking of going back to my enchanter there, since changes have been made since I left to make us much more valuable to groups and I have my crowd control skills back.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've been playing CoH a lot lately, too. Blaster with archer build there is a lot of fun. And missions scale so if I don't want to team up for the night, I don't have to. I can run it solo. If my boyfriend wants to join me, then it'll adjust mob difficulty to account for him. And if someone invites me to a team, we can go run my mission at a team (group) level. We can even adjust the difficulty if we want more of a challenge. CoH can get away with this because there is no gear race, but I'm starting to see the benefits of a game not based around gear.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Either way, EQ2 has become very solo unfriendly and it's no longer my solo game of choice. </DIV>

<DIV>You know what hurts, i was very excited about putting my hawk and stream back up on my hotbars, but after testing and changes they will be removed again and id imagine for good. I can only guess that hawk was changed back cause of PVP, yet another change that they said wouldnt effect our PVE game. I also just wish we had a dev who played a ranger enough to know what really could help the class.</DIV>

<FONT color=#cc0000>Fixing a pretty much broken skill and then unfixing it two days later is really, really, REALLY stupid. I'd like to know how SOE can think that's even remotely acceptable.</FONT>

<P>I am disappointed to hear that Hawk Dive is not going to be changed. I havn't played my 70 ranger since July. I actually got him out, bought some new masters to fill out the ones I was missing and was excited to start playing him again. I guess he goes back to storage now. I group nightly on my 70 nec. Rangers are probably the rarest group members on Unrest. I don't know how SOE looks at the popularity of a class, but in terms of players out there playing - Rangers have got to be the bottom. Its not that they can't find groups. But most players want to contribute to their group. Rangers have subpar DPS and bring probably the least utility of any class. Its hard to look at the parses and see that your group would be better off with another class. This is not a great mix in probably the most expensive class to play. I would like to think that SOE would look at what has gone on with this class and fix it. Hawk Dive changes looked like they might have been it, kinda makes me wonder if the ranger dev even knows what is going on......</P> <P>Yeah I will still probably by the expansion, but my enthusiam is waning. </P> <P> </P>

It does however [Removed for Content] me off to no end to see them change Hawk, talk about the change and how great it is, only to change it back without a peep. I mean seriously, communication is a wonderful tool. To the players, as well as between the devs themselves. Its almost like one dev went behind another dev and just changed stuff at random. I understand that things were still being tweaked in beta, and thats fine and dandy, but next time... consider not saying anything about changes made unless you are certain they are going to stay in game.

What gets me is that none of us on beta even noticed it *until* a dev brought it to our attention here. That's what irritates me the most. Plus this change of it without a word or explanation or anything. <div></div>

<DIV>I couldnt agree more with you there Tal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The reason we wouldnt have noticed is because.. well honestly, most of us rarely ever use it, and those that do, prolly wouldnt have bothered reading the description on it. Its a bird, it'll let me get in 1 maybe 2 extra ranged attacks... blah...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They really should have said something. After all, they knew a lot of ppl were going to be looking at that skill.</DIV>

There's always the possibility that somebody used the wrong source data for the latest AP changes and it is indeed an unintentional change, or that's what I'm hoping anyway.<div></div>

<blockquote><hr>Nuladen wrote:There's always the possibility that somebody used the wrong source data for the latest AP changes and it is indeed an unintentional change, or that's what I'm hoping anyway.<div></div><hr></blockquote>I doubt it and here is why. After we got excited about the change and it was reverted the description remained the same. The description didn't revert back to it's original until yesterday, after the stealth nerf had been in place for more than a day.
