<DIV>Anyone playing Beta encounter any new Bows for us? I mean quest rewards or drops from named mobs...not concerned about raid drops...we have enough problems getting those now. Would be nice to have something other than Grizzfazzle we can use.</DIV>

I assume you know this, but the Raincaller bow is available as a Heritage quest reward, but unfortunately it sounds like a Tier 6 item, not suitable for rangers in their 60s.

Was hoping for T7 item with slightly better stats than Grizzfazzle.

I have yet to see a single bow linked in beta besides the rain caller. Unfortinately it doesnt look like we are going to broaden are bow selection in EoF.

Rain Caller is the enchanted Trueshot <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I had kind of hoped they would have a Trueshot quest, then a quest to upgrade it to Rain Caller. <div></div>

I'm guessing that it's possible that the loot tables for (some?) of the raid zones/mobs will have maybe one or two new T7 bows. Unfortunately that leaves us where we are today, with the best bows out of reach for the majority of Rangers. That said, for everyone but the top raiders or professional gamers, we at least have the Grizz bow and a fairly decent player crafted weapon, imbued ebony. Also as mentioned elsewhere the Ghostly Bow of Blyze is often overlooked as a good bow for most players.Still, the quested bow we were all hoping for (Raincaller) is in, just not the level 70 bow we wanted. It's a huge expansion, so there <b>might </b>be another Grizzfazzle type quest out there somewhere. Anyway, we're all in the same boat at the moment. <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

<DIV>The funniest part about it, if you call the lack of bows funny that is,  is that theres a ranger on the front of the box.  With a bow.  <BR><BR>One of the interesting things about the whole bow issue is that just recently for the first time I have gotten to raid with a fully equipped ranger with a Sarnak and T8 ammo.  All fabled gear,  and full AA's and he does do first tier damage.  He was almost 400 pts of damage above me on the parse.  What makes it so interesting is that he,  like other high end raiders think its balanced pretty well.  They dont want change,  because that would mean either nerfing their weapons,  or making them less godlike compared to other rangers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The funny thing is that I dont really blame them.  Part of me wishes it were easy for me to get a ultra high damage bow but the same part probably wouldnt want everyone to have one so that could feel special.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So how do you really address that issue?  You have to admit,  its a tough one<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><BR></DIV> <DIV>Im very dissapointed that there arent some 'gap filler' bows however in the expansion.  Something that is substancially better than crafted,  but a good amount lower than sarnak.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just my .02c</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

It's possible there may be a bow reward along the chain. It has like 8 quests in it, or something like that. Saw a dev post the entire run.

<DIV>why are you all getting your underwear in a bunch?  all the good bows in KoS (besides grizzfazzle) are dropped in raid zones.  raid zones don't get fully explored until after the expansion is actually released, so we shouldn't expect to know much about new bows until people start to work the EoF raid zones.</DIV>

So it doesn't matter if the raid zones are fully explored or not. There *are* other rangers out there besides raiding rangers in high end guilds who eat, drink and breathe raiding, so some of us would prefer a decent bow that *doesn't* require a raid. And tying any chance of a good bow into raiding is a fallacy, as it creates an artificial gap between different playstyles that should never exist in the first place. </div>

don't forget that the bow is 1/2 of a set, so it would be alot better if you had both pieces<div></div>

Lev

actually that bow is only 1/3 of the set.. and the bonus only takes effect if you have all 3 items.. so all in all that bonus is not a very good one, decent bow though.. nice to see some new stuff.I would be more curious to the model of it.. cause I have seen screens of new bow modells, and I am hoping there is more than just 1 new modell<div></div>
