If I were you, I would find the thread about hawk dive a little ways down.

Simple answer. Yes, Hawk Dives breaking of stealth was intended. This will be changing however in the near future.

Not that this is that important, but I think you meant that you quit in May of 2006. KoS was released in late February of 2006 iirc. It certainly was not out in 2005, could you imagine waiting near 2 years for an expansion? That would be a virtual declaration that your game has flopped and a last ditch effort to grab some cash.On topic, it would be nice if it did not break stealth, but ah well, you get used to it, like so many other things in game and life, this one is rather minor (it annoys me more that it sucks so bad compared to many other classes 65th KoS spell).Merkades, 70th Ranger.Siege, Najena.A minor edit, before some corrects me. I just read the thread mentioned by TerriBlades and see the changes for Hawk Dive, which makes my on topic portion now null and void. In my defense, I read the topics of interest from top to bottom, and this thread was higher up

Message Edited by Merkades on 11-08-2006 08:28 PM

The only reason WoW hasn't "flopped" is because people don't know better, and the majority of players like having things given to them

I don't play WoW, but it's ridiculous to deny that it is a well-made game. The amount of hate it gets on other MMO forums is almost comical considering how successful it has been.

No, its not ridiculous. A well made game would be fun. In my eyes, its not. Therefore its not a well made game from my viewpoint. I don't care how many people play it, especially since the Chinese more or less didn't have to buy it, yet they are classified as accounts. Its ridiculous to come and keep pressing an argument in an open forum over a game you don't even play, all up in arms over a jovial toned comment.

Actually WoW was very entertaining when I played, however it didn't have any longevity to keep the same people playing that initially started at game release. The big differences are: any class(yes any) can solo to max level, groups are never required especially once you understand the limited quest routes, as 60%+ of the experience gain is simply by completing quests(once you have done the quest(s) once, leveling another alt to 60 takes a week or two at best of casual playing), and group required instances are typically not in favor of casual gamers, as an average level 60 instance can take 2-5 hours depending on group make-up and zone familiarity(hence, PUGs are teh debil if you don't want to take all night).And... last but not least, WoW is centered around PVP, which unfortunatly means every spell/ability change(nerf) mostly revolves around PVP balancing or game hackers, and typically is harmful in regards to PVE content and raiding as there is no difference at all in regards to spell damage or combat attacks between PVP and PVE. For those of us who chose a PVE server and were dissappointed time and again at the nerfs and 'new content' revolving around battlegrounds arena's(PVP zones even on PVE servers) and expected 2 years for the first content expansion that wasn't simply 1 or 2 new raid zones every 6 months, we grew tired very quickly.Trust me, EQ2 PVP servers don't hold a candle to WoW in regards to uber PVP children who hack, grief and gloat all day long even on PVE servers that don't care. I PVP'd enough even on a PVE server (since there is simply nothing to do once you hit 60 and had seen the very limited end instances and had the extremely limited drops from the raid zones).WoW is a fad that people join and quit daily. It's alot of fun and very easy, until you realize it's developers don't know how to keep existing customers, only attract new ones to fill their shoes. EQ1 and now EQ2 has managed to do that and keep things interesting in the duratation, even if changes are made from time to time(some better than others of course). Sorry to derail, had to rant =P
