<DIV>IN eq 1 i know animal charms could randomly break without cause or reason so may be just a random thing. Anyone know if you can charm epics?</DIV>

Unless you role play or solo this is useless. We are a DPS class so taking an entire line that does nothing for our DPS is kinda useless IMHO. Like I said, unless you solo or roleplay I doubt any ranger will take this line. If they do, they better not complain about their DPS<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

I dunno, I think the increase in pathifinding speed is handy. No longer needing horse or carpet, and just luv being able to run backwards as fast as some can on horses. Throw on my jboots, and watch me train like a tank! I do wish it would stack with pact of cheetah tho. That would give me a 156% run speed! As it is, I have to turn around in some eof zone lines, and recross to trigger the load screen.......And it is very useful when running from a mob of the enemy on a pvp server. I haven't enuff in the ranger line yet to comment on the charm animal. But I do think some of the skills in that line are useful.

I dont know any ranger worth his DPS salt that would take this line. </div>

The slow backing up is really a pain as a ranger, and I'll do more DPS if I can back-up faster without having to dismount first especially when I get jumped (yeah, yeah, in raids you won't be on the mount, but that's only one aspect to the game). Plus, with the journeyboots (I have a macro to switch them out with my "combat" boots) and a totem (which stacks) I can have a run-speed of 80%. I like being able to get from point A to point B quickly. "Sacrificing" (and I only use that term because you seem to think it is) 8 AA points is fine with me. Don't forget that time is money (or, should I say coin), and faster travel times helps immensely in questing and other activities. But, as you can tell, I do a lot more than raiding.</DIV>

When I join a group and when I invite a Ranger to a group, I expect DPS and a lot of it. I dont care if they run fast backwards (which is really only useful solo). I assume you play solo most of the time. If you are in a group, you should be sitting stationary in teh sweet spot crushing the mob (not worring about moving backwards). Also, I would think the extra DPS you get from the DPS AAs would more the make up for running fast since you would not have to run b/c the mob would be dead<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Let's just leave it at that<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<DIV>I don't know about you. I solo alot as a ranger, so the 46% run speed and 0 penalty for my defensive buff is a huge boon to me.</DIV>

there is no loss in dps to get the 5 in run speed<div></div>
