View Full Version : About the EoF str cap and how it affects us
<DIV>Any beta ranger who parsed out to see where does STR stop giving a nice benefit to be slow upgrade ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i mean .. how much str should we reach now before heading into INT ( in my case )</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I dont wanna discuss the good or bad of int over rangers, i just want to know where does STR stop giving an important profit, i guess it will be arround 800 but not sure, so to have that on a raid i should be near 600-650 self.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for any answers.</DIV>
<DIV>Well i been reading some and so far :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the most accurate i found is that there is a "nerf area" near the actual Cap, that means that those from 1 to 428 on a stat will be more effective than they were before, but then from 428 to the cap we will be under what we where before EoF.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After that cap seems like it will be again giving us profit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Achampion posted this Graph :</DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.achampion.info/stat-benefit%20graph.gif"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seems like the most accurate since : </DIV> <DIV> <P><STRONG>Gallenite wrote : " <FONT color=#ff3300>Lockeye say:</FONT> "This guy nailed it." "</STRONG></P> <P>with that graph you see what i was trying to say, there will be a nerf area from the 40% of the max skill (428 on 70) and the line arround 600 where it starts to give benefits again. ( benefits compared to the old cap ).</P> <P>That said, there is still a factor in the curve and its that the profit a stat gives is not lineal, but we dont have the formula they use, so everthing is guessing.</P> <P>I think we will need to reach arround 800 str in raid before trying to get another stat up, even if you like STA, AGI or INT.</P> <P>That system gives some real problems for those clases that use more than 1 attribute over those that use only one.</P> <P>well .. everything is guessing but i would say .. take your STR gear out <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P><BR></DIV>
I don't think you should look upon this as a problem. Not saying this is how it will work out, but at least it would be a posibility. Look at it as an opening to make your own character more diverse. Now people can CHOOSE wether to go for more str and less int, or more int and less str, or balance it out. This of course depends on how that will balance out, but in theory you would be able to chose it out of your own prefrence. <div></div>
<DIV>yeh of course you can choose, you always can.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but there is only 1 correct choose, well there is a best choice... always <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> just want to try to find out wich one is.</DIV>
