View Full Version : Quivers ?

Sorry if this has been asked before, search didn't show up what I'm asking about.

What's the benefit of quivers ? In other games eq1, wow etc quivers had advantages such as faster fire rate.

Here they seem to just have the same carrying capacity of regular bags with the disadvantage that only arrows can be carried in them ?

They also don't seem any cheaper than regular bags.

You can put them in ammo slot, quite a big advantage.

Toss em into your ammo slot, and it will automatically pull stacks from there. You wont' run out untill your quiver is empty. They also don't take up a bag slot if they are in the ammo slot. Huge advantage.

imagine a situation, that you would have to manually load every stack after the one you use is depleted?

Well, thats how things used to be, so... the quivers are very nice as they are imo.

++Xan

Thanks guys.. will be buying a quiver asap !

One thing to keep in mind also, you can use any tier quiver at any lvl, so, get the biggest one you can afford. I got my t6 quiver when I was lvl 35ish I think, been using it ever since

Need some clarrifcation.

About this time last year, i transferred servers on my ranger. When i did, it created a duplicate of my quiver. Great i thought, except, i was never able to use the 2nd quiver. I eventually gave it away.

However, i've never been able to use 2 quivers. I've got the 1 quiver in my quiver slot, but i've never been able to have a 2nd quiver in my inventory filled with arrows. Is this how it's supposed to work, or is it possible to have more then 1 quiver filled with arrows? Just curious, b/c i've noticed posts where ppl have said they carry more then 1 quiver .. (i'm assuming filled with arrows).

I've never really tried it, in my guild, the mages and casters carry full quivers for me so I can switch to them inbetween mobs during raids... I don't thnk you can put a full quiver inside of another bag. I'll have to nab one of the quivers from one of my guidies and try it out.

That is correct. If you want to carry 2 quivers with arrows in both, you must replace one of the standard bags in one of your bag slots with the second quiver. I do this sometimes if I know I'm going to be switching arrow types.

Correct. It's only worth it to carry 2 quivers if you use 2 different types of arrows. If not, just get a bank vault box for some extra arrows. You can carry many more stacks that way and use it to carry more than just arrows. It's not like we don't have enough STR for it. heh

i always keep 2 quivers on me, i keep the second in my first inventory slot so all my foraged and ripped arrows drop there when my main quiver is full. i love having an extra quiver ready to swap in if my main quiver ever goes empty, inventory space is never a problem once you can carry strongboxes
