Considering betrayal and need opinions

Greetings, my current main is a lvl 61 assassin that I'm thinking of betraying over to the ranger class. My reasons for this don't stem from any issues I have with assassins, in fact I enjoy the class a lot. Kinda hard to explain, I guess, but I just don't relate to the evil tone of the class(yeah I'm from an RP server :p), and am sick of Freeport. I'm not in a raiding guild, and only raid every now and then. I hate parsers, so getting top DPS, while important for getting the job done, isn't my primary focus all the time. I play to have fun, not to play by the numbers. So what I'm wondering, basically, is what are the pros and cons of making such a move? Will I have a hard time adjusting? Is it more difficult to find groups as a ranger due to people having a false impression of lower DPS from the class? Or should I just suck it up and continue to walk the dark path? <P>If you're not raiding much, I think the classes are about the same in terms of desirability.   I have just made the reverse change (Ranger -> Assassin) due to guild needs.  I don't think the adjustments are too hard, but it does take some getting used to.  </P> <P>I do think soloing would be pretty different.  You can't melee mobs as a ranger much.  You have to get good at keeping them away. </P> <P>If you're really wanting to betray, it's better to do it sooner than later.</P>
