<DIV>I haven't played my level 59 Ranger since January because he was on one server and I've been playing on another. Now I've transfered him over to the server I now play on (SPaw). A lot has changed in 9 months since I last played him.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> I've reset and rearranged all my hot bars and have had a bit of practice last night soloing green and blue mobs.  My usual technique has been to stealth, back shot, followed by as many other arrow shots before getting into melee. On melee, I stun the mob, run round the back, hit backstab that puts me in stealth then hit the stealth only CA. I then hit the CA that roots the mob, back peddle and shoot off more arrow CA's. Sorry, I just cannot remember any of these CA names atm, but I hope you know what I'm talking about.  Some of the timers on our best CA's take so long to come ready! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With group attacks, I lay the trap down, pull the group with the AE shot, back peddle and hoepfully the mobs are rooted in the trap, then pick emoff one by one. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well this is on easy mobs, but I need to hone in my skills for those tougher mobs I will face later, so the question is, am I missing anything? Something I could be doing better? etc. I'm using poisons too, but I suppose they've all changed as well. Is there an updated chart or list on poisons anywhere?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, I've got no AA's atm. I assume they must have been mentioned else where in these forums, but basicaly, what the recommended route for mainly solo and grouping, with the occasional raid now and then. (non pvp server btw).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for any tips <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Read the stickied threads, especially the RANGER RESOURCE one, it has good info on it.Also, the 10s buff which increases ranged crit, DPS and haste is awesome. Use it, it increases your autoattack dmg to new lvls (with large crits that is). And, when you activate a long casting CA and the buff wears off before you get the CA off, you still get the bonus to your CA (imo).++Xan<div></div>

/agree with previous poster. I'll stay away from combat tactics, but for your APs, if you primarily solo/group, I'd suggest going with the AGI/STR lines. Some Rangers who raid more (or take their raiding more seriously) will also suggest going with an AGI/INT build instead. Best of luck. <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>
