i use one... it works awesome, and ACT has a built in plugin for it so you can see real-time parsings if you so choose... its probably the best accessory to my computer <div></div>

Hi Hiero,I know your guild are clearing DT weekly - it's only a matter of time before one of the ammo bows drop for you. Once you have one - all your ammo worries are over (except maybe blunts). At 100 per summon and that every 5 mins, you  can actually keep supplied pretty much as you go.Still, if you need a new kbd anyway there's no harm in buying that one <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Mirdo.<div></div>

I looked at this thing at the store, thought "A hundred bucks for a <EM>keyboard</EM>??" and moved on. I actually need a new one, too, ever since my cat spilled a full travel mug of creamed coffee all over my desk / keyboard / wall. Of course I was in the middle of a Labs raid at the time...

Buy on line.  I got mine for $45 and no sales tax.

Oh nice.  I noticed that WoW parser comes with it, but nothing for eq2.  (I just bought mine, so have just started playing with it).  Where do you find this ACT?Also, I have had problems with setting up the macros to the hot keys on the side.  They want to ignore the ctrl and alt part of the key sequence.  It works great on the single hotkey part, but the macro part struggles.  I'm trying to set up sequences for casting stealth and then sequence range attacks, stealth and sequence melee attacks, etc.  Anyone else have this problem?Thanks<div></div>

Question for all the folks that have this.  I have tendonitis in my left arm/wrist and if I don't use one of the ergonomic keyboards I start getting cramps/pains after a couple hours.  Anyone else have similar issues but able to use this keyboard without any pain or problems?  I'd love to pick one of these up, but the fact that it's not a split keyboard style for folks with tendonitis/carpel tunnel (sp?) is the reason I'm holding off just yet.  Thoughts/comments please.

It's a standard keyboard layout, so I don't imagine it's going to be too useful if you need the split keyboard for medical reasons.   Maybe someone with experience on this knows more though.

Once I went to an ergo keyboard it is hard going back. If I could find a good replacement to my Microsoft Wireless Natural set I would jump in a heartbeat. For now the only thing I can see coming down the road to replace it though is the Microsoft 8000.http://www.tgdaily.com/2006/09/14/microsoft_8000_keyboard/If anyone knows of another good ergo wireless keyboard please share.

<P>You have to install the G15 software first.  That makes the LCD display usable by windows apps.  Then you have to enable it in ACT.  I also had to turn off the other information in the G15 drivers because the ACT info would only stay up for half a second before the clock or system CPU usage popped up.</P> <P>It's kinda cool.  I think it needs to be improved a bit.  So far the best use has been seeing total raid DPS to know when we're slacking.</P>

Yes you can tell when a poison is up.Can you tell me at a glance how many charges are left, should I reapply it before this fight or wait till after, that requires a mouse over of the maintained effect.  I'm referring more to the fights where you start the fight and after the first proc, your poison drops and at that point I'm not really watching the maintained list to notice that it has dropped and it slips by.  Also I'm not compulsive enough to mouse over the maintained before every fight to see if I have charges left on the current dose. I don't see why you think having an actual count of charges available on a display, be it the maintained (preferred) OR on the lcd on the keyboard (what I was suggesting as a possibility), would be a bad thing, maybe usefull info displayed in an easy to see format is against your moral code or something.<div></div>

I actually agree that it'd be nice to have a clearer indication of when you're about to lose your poison application (maybe have the icon blink or something), but I'd rather have it in the game itself. </P>

I remember when pathfinding lasted 15 minutes, we didn't know how many charges of poison we had left and we liked it!!! Well not really… but after a while I just got used to keeping an eye on my maintained icons. I like my G15…

I buy my cornflakes pre-defecated, makes life easier....Sorry if I sounded harsh but come on, you kinda started it =)Anywhoo, if they gave coercers a warning that their charm was about to break how about giving us a visual clue that an applied poison is about to drop, like some subtle tinting of our view (fade a little green or red, soething we'd notice, hell make the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] maintained icon flash to solid red and back when it's under 10% charges remaining that would be good I think.<div></div>

Bought mine about a year ago, for 80 bucks, was still worth it. It's beyond handy. I LOVE the backlighting on it, as I play in the dark more often than not [yeah, I'm oldschool like that lol] and I LOVE the LCD screen.  I too use ACT with it, which is nice now that I play a DPS class hehe. I also use the macro keys for other games, not much use for them for EQ2 but I use them for BF2 and what not. Anyways, by far the best accessory purchase I have ~ever~ made and I highly suggest getting one. The keyboard is also becoming more and more compatible with other games so, if you play multiple games, then it's even more worth it. <div></div>

I'm still having problems using 'typed' macros. Sometimes the lag will cause me to miss a letter or two and the whole thing won't work. I guess I need to play with the time between keystrokes...<div></div>

<P>I just picked up a G15 a couple weeks ago. I was using an MS ergo one before that. </P> <P>The Vent and ACT plugins are awesome for raiding - I can see who's talking on vent and get a mini parse while fullscreen in-game. The backlit keys are really nice for latenight raiding, too. The macros are kinda nice, but you really have to play a bit with pauses and timing on key hold-downs to get them to work right every time - they aren't very lag-friendly. </P> <P>I saw some ppl on eq2interface talking about this keyboard a while back, I hope we see some more eq2 stuff come out for it sometime. There's a lot of possibilities there if someone could get it to work.</P> <P>As for ergonomics, this is a BIG keyboard, and probably won't work well if you have carpo. Unless you can use the macro keys a lot to reduce keypresses, there's a lot of space to cover - that'll probably put some extra stress on the wrists. It lays pretty flat, too - even with the back feet down. It feels like it's on a kinda wierd angle to me.</P> <P>Nice quality overall, and a nice feel to the keystrokes - I've been very pleased with mine.</P>

I love the G15 keyboard. I have a macro to start an HO use cheapshot run behind the mob and nail it with several rear/stealth CA's all with one button. Because the keyboard pollong is tied to frame rate and varies you need to put delays after the ctrl or alt key press and the key that comes after. eg. CTRL Delay 1 Delay hope that helps
