Questions on delay

I have a question about delay in relation to procs. One of my guildies is saying that ranged attack procs are figured off the primary hand melee weapon while i believe they are still done off your bow's delay. Another question is anybody done a test of grizzfazzle's bow vs an ebony long bow. i'm curious to see if ebony doesn't do a little more damage becuz of the increased damage of the proc and the longer delay.<div></div>

<P>Someone will surely correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think ranged procs were ever calculated by your melee weapon. In any form. </P> <P>While that would be illogical enough to perhaps be considered by SOE...I think its too illogical even for them.</P>

They utilize the bow delay on autoattacks, and the CA delay when using ranged arts. At least that was my understanding back when the "bugged" proc mechanic was fixed. (And I was having such fun "exploiting" it with my high-delay weapon, too. Shucks.)</P> <P>RE: Grizzlebow vs Ebony... if you can get ebony or already have it, I wouldn't get the Grizzlebow right now. I'd go with the dirk, personally. I don't know if one or the other is clearly 'better,' but they're close enough that I think you're better off using the Grizzle quest to get a great DW instead of a bow that's basically equal to a rare crafted item. </P>

Thx for the info guys. Sadly i already got my grizzlefazzle for the simple fact that it does have a higher damage rating.<div></div>

You want grizzie's bow because it's quite a bit higher in DR.  And it's hard to get anything with a higher DR.  The dirk is stupid.  You can get many DW weapons with its DR or better pretty easily.
