DPS difference between Ad3 and M1

Imagine two Rangers on a raid, in the exact same groups, with the exact same skills (not Combat Arts), and the exact same gear the only difference being once Ranger has all Ad3 Combat Arts and the other has all M1 Combat Arts, how much if a difference do you think this would make? Is there a specific damage/stat increase from Ad3 to M1? <div></div>

<DIV>M1 is about 15% better than AD3 on a per-CA difference.  Everything DPS related that is influenced by combat arts (including haste from self buffs) is improved by that amount.  Resist rates are also lower.  I would say about 10-20%.  Which is the difference between 800 and 1000 dps.</DIV>

<DIV>If we are talking about all M1 vs. all AD3, then we are talking about a lot more than a 10-15% increase in damage.  Don't forget that the self buffs are also 10-15% better and some of this stacks with the 10-15% improvement with the damage abilities.  Things like killing instinct, cloak of the forest and focus aim.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't tested or done any analysis on this subject (which would most likely be impossible anyway), but I would be surprised if all M1 vs. all AD3 would net less than 25% total damage increase.  Especially given that M1 abilities also get resisted less.  But at this point, it's nothing more than an opinion, so weigh it accordingly.</DIV>

<DIV>Over on the summoner's tower someone did some testing and research using conj/necro spells and made a chart outlining differences between all the quality levels from app 1 to master 1.  It's not right in front of me, but each rank was 10-15% better than the previous.  It seems that ranger skills are pretty similar, so as a general reference I'd say master is 15% better than adept 3, 25-30% better than adept 1, etc.  We don't have much in terms of a huge dps boost, especially on a single target, so you kinda have to upgrade everything before you see a big increase.  Instead of getting M1 decapitate and spiking to the top of the chart next time you use it, we build our spell book and climb up one rung at a time.</DIV>

Nice, very nice. I dont think I have ever seen Rain M1 for sale on Oasis, and I have a feeling that if I ever do, its prolly gonna be listed at 75p or so.  :o(
