<P>Certainly the strength and intell AA line and gear and group buffs are part of the mix though I would offer that the majority of those top ranked have Sniper Shot at master I.</P> <P>Certainly a rare combat art drop. Still a little upset at a raid leader of my old guild who, when the sniper shot master finally dropped when a Ranger was not logged in the group..gave the spell to someone who just happened to be on first after the drop and regularly did less than half the average dps at any given time as I did. </P> <P>So I'm bitter <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Gotta love favoritism in a guild that spouts fairness. Wish he would have sold it for the probable 20-60 plat instead of that. (It didn't used to) But you can still stack dispatch + other debuffs if you aren't capped out yet, which would increase how much Snipe hits for. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I stand by the bow not making a difference, or the arrow, at least if they aren't gray. Since I see a new line of thinking on hitting high hits, and just had two tonight, I will post my thoughts on it.Bow and Arrow Quality don't matter. I just hit 18,957 on the Slavering Alzid, then 19,077 on Pardas Predd with a Grizzfazzle bow and Adamantine Arrows. Which, unless someone has recently made a higher hit, makes me highest on Najena, and 5th highest Ranger in game. (at least known)I wish we could have some luck and a better bow would drop, but what can you do? It is disgusting how many times I see other folks with said bows and I am chilling with [Removed for Content] ones <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I do have a master of Sniper Shot and Perfectionist, and usually maxxed str when in any group (438str solo)Anyways, a screenshot from tonight as proof of what I said. Heh, Ugga was kinda pre occupied for a bit and not the MT for that run. And it is Labs, so it is not like anyone is really that concerned about efficiency. Originally though, it was Nissen a Berserker who was in Ugga's slot. That, and Ugga really wanted to play dps with that crab baton that everyone makes fun of him for. (that twirling is quite amusing...)Minor edit. I don't know that labs can be done single grouped, but we are not exactly the most uber guild on our server. Our best is doing labs with three healers (though still 22-23 people). Im a 70 Ranger with adept 3 CA,and my highest hit is 13,000. Id like to know how a level 59 assassin on my server Befallen has a high hit of 89,000? What gives. No rangers in the top 20 it seems and Ive never heard of a ranger hitting above 50k, though it may happen.Buaf 70 Ranger Befallen<div></div>

I had built my whole game around (M1) Rain of Arrows, and i love the 2min recast on it. (M1) Sniper Shot at 10mins (1/2 of my SS were crits, reguarly criting for 18-19k) and the added 15% dmg to both CA's is sweet. Once i switched to INT line, i was parsing similliar numbers to the STR line. Took a awhile before i started beating it. There's no doubt in my mind, STR line is more practical for the everyday ranger, in solo, group and raid situations. The INT line, while potentially better, is more dependent on equipment and group setup to take full advantage. Poisons alone wont beat the STR line. I've maxed out the new benefits to Caustic and RoA in the new AAs. Be interesting to test them again (actually, i think INT line better for how i'm setup :smileysad:, but ... i just miss the 2min/10min reuse time and 15% bonus to dmg on RoA/SS) ... might just play with it for a few weeks until i can beat 20k. :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Keep 'em coming. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(PS. <P>hitting a max sniper shot is more about luck than anything else tbh. I have used it and hit 9k then i auto ranged for more with the next shot!!! I have been rezzed, went straight into invis and shot it for 16k, this was with revive sickness so at the end of the day its down to the debuffs from your fellow players more than anything else.</P> <P>My usual group raid set up doesnt normally have any str buffers so it is more down to coercer for dps mod and timing sniper with brigand debuff and using focus for best results.</P>
