<DIV>does anyone have a good hotbar setup for raiding? i have been messing around trying to lay out my spells in order to cast them more quickly example: focus aim, imp surveil, selection then rain of arrows and stuff like that but im wondering if someone has it down to a fine art including casting times etc etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you can either message me the screenshot or post it here that would be great.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I honestly have 4 hotbars across the top of the screen. First one is melee (and HO), second is back attacks and trickstuff, third is ranged, and fourth is buffs and clickies... not the best but it works for me <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div>Here is my CA layout..Hopefully you can see it.<img src="http://eq2images.station.sony.com/000/001/115/590.JPG">Dunno how the size is going to turn out, but there in the center and the bottom right.Bah, dident turn out to well.Well, i'll try anyways.. All my spells are utilized by diffrent hotbars, one Melee one mixed, one Ranged.. I try and make things so that any key I use I can come to it and use something powerfull even if I misskey. Forinstance, lets say I want to AE and alt isent pressed down hard enough.. It ends up using rangers blade again or if I accidently hit crtl it uses vieled fire.. That if I put all the similar abilities on the same key but change the crtl/alt part of it, it becomes alot easier..Also, I keep one hand on the mouse, and one on my keyboard at all times.. It is extreemly important for me that all things be utilized in some arranged pattern to keep myself from hitting those pesky 0,5s attacks instead of the ones I want. Its only a matter of time before someone gets a mouse that looks like a cat, so they say they keep one hand on there keyboard and the other one on there...... at all times. (and btw, im a dude dont take joke to a higher level unless you enjoy being embarassed).<p>Message Edited by LoreLady on <span class=date_text>08-10-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:37 AM</span>

<DIV>Something like this maybe?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.zen103585.zen.co.uk/rob/EverQuest2 2006-07-22 12-50-37-50.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Forget the order! You choose your next CA while the current one is casting <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>I've got every ability I have on there, even bounty and the fluff pets!</DIV> <DIV>Notice the hotbar #3 has a row of cure potions, regeneration and clarity. No need to worry about slack healers!</DIV> <DIV>Hotbar #8 is my poison bar, which is too empty on that screen <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I don't know whether one would call it good, but I like visibility so my emphasis is on translucency, no dashboards, and 4 hot bars (EoF will raise this, I am sure). This is my current CA/UI layout, for the most part. I change various things every so often, and I need to replace Hawk Dive (note, I don't use it, just there) with Bladed Opening (when I get a sword) then switch it to the melee side.<a href="http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs204&d=06325&f=UI_Layout.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://xs204.xs.to/xs204/06325/UI_Layout.jpg.xs.jpg"></a>Thumbnail; click to enlarge.Merkades, 70th Ranger.Siege, Najena.

<div></div>Probably not the best layout, but, it's what works for me.  Re-sized to fit in the forums a tad better.  **Edited to remove "naughty" words that I didnt' realize were in there when I posted it originally.** <span>:smileywink:</span><img src="http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/1199/eq2001112ag7.jpg"><div></div><p>Message Edited by GTaubin on <span class=date_text>08-11-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:55 PM</span>

This is not really your answer Lorelady, but I used a thumbnail to allow people who want to to click it to full size. I run at 1600x1200 and like you I like my UI setting/size that way, and I refuse to resize it for people who still have their monitors set in substandard resolutions (I can undestand in game, it is demanding, but outside that...) the number of websites that look like garbage due to being 1024x768 or 800x600 on my system still annoys me.Anyways, either use a program ([Removed for Content] is free and cross platform) to resize or use a thumbnail. http://xs.to/ the image hoster I used, has the proper bbcode and html tags to make it, I just copy them and past it here.Merkades, 70th Ranger.Siege, Najena.

Here is the layout I use ( http://webpages.charter.net/dabowers/EQ2Screen.jpg ).I run a 6 hot bar set up.My main bar is in the lower left and is comprised of melee attacks including a macro command that uses either Ranger's Blade if it has reset or Emberstrike if it hasn't followed by our over powerful Bounty ability. Hotbar #2 is a single stack just above that for ranged attacks (similar to my spell cast bar from EQ1 - is what works for me)Across the top I have 4 additional hotbars for my special attacks, self buffs, right clickie debuffs, and poisons.
