View Full Version : What Haste item are you using?

I have an old Fabled bracelet that I've outgrown, but I keep it b/c it grants me 20% haste. I really need to replace it - the stats are way low nowadays - but I haven't been able to find something that gives a comparable haste modifier. I do sometimes hit cap on raids but I'd rather not lose too much haste for routine hunting. What are you guys in T7 using? Are there many items that even grant a decent haste modifier? Or do you just roll without item-based haste and just rely on group buffs?

Deathtoll Neck/Wrist item is probably what I bet most people use, 25str/agi, 10wis/int, 110hp/power, resists, 23% Haste. There's also a neck/wrist item with 22% haste off Tarinax(+15 to all, 110hp/power, resists), and a belt off Hurricanas(~20str/agi/sta, ~90hp/power, resists) with 23% haste.

Nemisis Bracer. You'll get one of those soon Kaeros...

Nemesis chain and the mysterious "Roost item" (which Roost?) are the only one of those I have a shot at right now, and aren't the Nemesis bracers like 5% haste only? I was hoping for something over 15% at least.

Oh well, whenever we get to Tarinax or DT, you and I are gonna have to arm-wrestle, Tex.

Yea the Nemesis chain bracers is only 5%. I'm not sure on the Roost item though Kaeros. I would bet its Roost in Mystic Lake though.

This brings up a question. Do haste items stack? I've only had the one (FBSS) that I use when I need a little extra haste.

You need to have completed the access quest which is found on the 3rd floor of the monk tower in the Village of Shin.It is a x2 zone that has rare named in it. One of the named drops the Cartilagenous Cord. Stats are 22 STR 20 AGI 26 STA 120 HP 121 Power 568 Disease 639 Heat / Mental and 20% haste. The last guy is pretty difficult but you can farm the named before him for some decent loot. The belt is pretty awesome even without the haste.

Message Edited by Stormhawk on 08-08-2006 12:17 PM

I believe Flowing Thought is the exception, but Calaglin would know more about that. My understanding is that it doesn't matter what the effect of the buff is - if the name of the buff is different, it'll stack even if the effects are the same. Like if your boots said Haste and your gloves said Quickness, and they both increased attack speed by 10%, you'd effectively get 20% increased attack speed. (I'm making this up, though; I've never heard of Haste by any other name.)

Thanks for the info on the Roost in Mystic Lake. I figured it wasn't the PoF version, LOL. So it looks like I'll be starting that access quest soon!

Yea Flowing Thought stacks. And that access quest is pretty easy and short. Starts in the Monk Tower. You have to mouse over a book and read all the text to recieve the quest.

Cyenadros, a x2 contested in SoS drops chain leggings with the effect Lightning Limbs, increases attack speed by 21% when equipped. This doesn't stack with any other worn haste item, or so I was told by a guildie who got a pair. What's kind of suprising to me is the number of people I run across without any haste items at all, opting to wear usually a belt with higher STR than the FBSS. I was unlucky on haste items to replace the FBSS til the DT bracelet, so I wore the FBSS for 38 levels. 15% haste is by far better for DPS than 15 or 16 more STR in the belt slot.

Fitzpittle in DT also drops a 23% haste belt - not stats but loaded with resists. But if you can get to and kill him you would probably have your access wrist item anyway :smileyhappy:

http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/6491/flawless7os.jpg

Mirdo.

Im using the same as you kaeros (Tarinax is still being a pain for our guild) - dont think hes 3groupable with relic and such

Do you think it's just because power regen is not capped, so it can stack indefinitely?
Whereas due to the fact that haste items are already up so high(23%), they'd have to make it so that you could only cap at a low-ball value for it, due to caps. Of course, what they could do is let them stack, and actually make more mobs with haste/dps debuffs, which would in turn make it work out.

Can you guys post screen shots and mob/zone info for the haste stuff that is higher than 15% (FBSS)? I can't seem to track any of them down on fan sites, and I don't have access to the items database on sony. I've been using FBSS since i got it, lvl 70 now and working on DT access.
