50-60 bow

Does anyone know why the mastercratfed 50's bow (ironwood I think) only has 1 dps more than the master crafted 40's (cedar) bow?  I am almost level 52 and its time for an upgrade but I havent seen any dropped bows that are worth upgrading to until level 60.Thanks,Lariet<div></div>

Having said that, I don't remember the specific stats and have since sold the bow when I moved into Tier 7. If I recall, Kaeros LOVED that bow, drooled over it, etc. and can probably fill you in on details...<span>:smileyhappy:</span></div>

Unless you can find a woodworker who is selling an old Ironwood bow, you're pretty much stuck with the not-so-great Ironwood bow of today.

Heh, I drooled over it cuz at the time, it had the stats of a T5 Fabled item. To the OP, that's why your T7 crafted bow isn't much of an improvement over the pre-LU24 T6 crafted bow - the original T6 stuff was overpowered and has subsequently been nerfed. Same is true for crafted armor. Fortunately, there are enough nice quested and dropped items in T7 that you don't have to rely on rare crafted items like you did in T6. (I say that as a full-time adventurer who doesn't craft, so I'm biased.)

It appears the new ironwood has a DR of 49 or so and the Ebony (T7) is 70.  That seems broken to me.    The 1H ironwood weapons have a DR of about that much.  <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Seems about 10% too low.   I think in the next patch there were supposed to be some crafted mitigation/dps boosts - could be part of that.

My nonraider lvl 70 uses Grizzfazzles but I'm dissatisfied with it. Just seems a bit weak for a legendary bow. Are there any better ones around than Grizzies? Not seen much available on my server. Would love some of the really cool fabled bows but I'm the only lvl 70 in our guild lol. <div></div>

<P>Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Guy but if you're a nonraider as you say Grizzle is it.  The only others out there are all raid drops and all are rare raid drops.  Along with being rare raid drops the top end ones are all from end boss mobs.  Your best bet is to try and do some AoAx2 raids and pick up the Flapping Wing bow.</P> <P> </P> <P>As far as T6 bows go I used my old T5 Valian the entire time.  The 12% damage proc on it made up for the lower DR during that time.  Unless they've reitemized DoF the only non player made bow available is the Darkfury bow off the Black Queen in the Courts raid zone (end boss mob).</P> <P> </P>

<P>Besides Grizzfazzle you can get... </P> <P>"<U>Ghostly Bow of Bylze</U>" from a quest in SoS. It's got <U>very high</U> top damage but a 9 second shot time. It's great when it crits. Also good to use when your getting low on arrows and wanna slow it down abit.</P> <P>"<U>Silverpine</U>" I found on broker. I believe its treasured. It has low end damage but a <U>2 second</U> shot time, so add 100% haste and your chucking arrows pretty dam fast. This bow goes well with caustic poisons. Sometimes I'll see 3-4 on broker, sometimes none. Its my choice of bow to duel with.</P> <P>"<U>Bow of Searing Missles</U>" I also found on broker. Treasured. It's an average damage longbow with a 90% proc for around 20 heat damage. It's not much of a bow except its the ONLY bow I've heard of with a <U>45 meter</U> range. This makes it very handy for avoiding AOE's or pulling for the tanks. I've seen this bow on the broker only once and bought it ASAP. It'll be hard to find because its the best choice of bows for tanks to pull mobs.</P>

<P>Bow of Seering Missles drops from the rare bonus named that can spawn in Vaults.  Do to the very low chance of him spawning don't expect to see this bow for sale very often.  But it is a great bow for pulling and avoiding AE's.</P> <P> </P>
