<DIV>Well some of you may remember me, but I don't expect that many do lol.  Anyways, I was a ranger from the start and I've been around the block.  About 4 months back I got myself into a bad way financially and had to stop playing, but now I'm finally back.  First I'd like to say hello to everyone and to say it's GOOD to be back lol.  Anyways I'll cut to the chase and ask you guys for a little help.  What have I missed?  How are things going with the class?  Anything new or different that I should know about?  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>THanks for any help you guys can offer.  It feels good to be back amongst the tree's with fellow rangers =).</DIV>

Depending on what you aim to do depends on the answer. If you wish to be a hardcore raider, you will find enlightening information in the combat sub forum in the thread "most useless raiding classes.." heh <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I hope your guild (whether current or new one if you are not guilded) is as cool as mine if that is the case )Outside of that, I don't think Rangers are all that bad (not really all that bad inside that either, just lacking), which seems to be the general consensus.As you can see, the boards are a bit more dour than when you used to post, but that is because we apparently have less patience than SKs and want fixes now rather than later. Still interesting reads though. And Devs don'tseem to post as much unless it is something like Lore, or Block Party lately.. communication seems lower than normal.Anyways, it is not doom and gloom, but it is not clear sailing, what it is is the way the Ranger usually has things (sans lu13-19), welcome back.It is good you managed to rectify your situation, those kinds are never fun to be in.Merkades, 70th Ranger.Siege, Najena.

Welcome back - Rangers arent as bad as people make them out to be. There is a diffrence in ranger/assassin dps, but I wouldent worry about this in any pickup group or any guild that casualy raids or even if they are thinking about taking the next step. Rangers are still a usefull class and its going to take ALOT more to convince me to betray.

<P>Holy smokes!! RHANIN!! *Great* to see you back in Norrath, old friend. I remember when I was a young ranger, Rhanin and I would run into each other in-game (we've been on the same server since the olden days) and I'd think "wow, so this is what an uber kerra ranger looks like!" I always looked up to Rhanin when I was young, and was proud to call him a peer when I finally caught up to his level. </P> <P>Anyway, a lot has changed in your absence, some of it good for the game, but the class has taken some hits. Surveil range is down to 35m, Storm of Arrows can't be fired while moving anymore, all our stuns / snares were reduced in duration, a couple of arts were increased to do slightly more damage... stuff like that. You'd probably be best served by reviewing the update notes for each LU that's gone out since you stopped playing. Also, a new adventure pack came out about a month ago, if you hadn't heard that already.</P> <P>I know there are other ranger-specific changes that I'm forgetting, but the others can help fill you in. Welcome back, man - hope to see you around BB soon!</P>

<DIV>Hehe yeah it's all coming back to me now....well sort of hehe.  I feel like I couldn't fight my way out of a wet paper sack rofl, but at least I can still manage my way around norrath.  I found out about Storm of Arrows the fun way last night trying to get back into gear soloing a blue con.....got my butt almost handed to me lol doh!  But I also remembered a good 50% of what I was doing in that first fight so I should be back on track soon.  Now to role up my sleeves and dig in for some Update reading hehe.  </DIV>
