Would that be deemed exploit ?or maybe just pay a street-kid to click the button every few mins .../discuss</font></font></font></font></font><div></div>

The former, definitely an exploit.  The latter...good business sense!

<DIV>This isn't a good issue to make guesses at.  Hopefully, we'll get some feedback from someone official on this.  But, here's my stab at it anyway...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Back in the old days of EQ1, ranged attacks were not auto-attack.  We had to press the button everytime we wanted to fire an arrow.  So many of us used gampads with turbo features.  This way, you'd push the button on the gamepad to start firing and then push it again to stop firing.  The official word at the time was that it was okay to use these gamepad macros as long as you were at the keyboard.  But, if you used the same macro to, say,  forage while you were away from your keyboard, you'd be violating the EULA.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you search the formus for gamepads, you'll see that using gampads and other controllers are allowed, but I haven't found anything addressing the use of a controller's macro functions while away from the keyboard.  My <STRONG>guess </STRONG>is that the rules are similiar to those in EQ1.  It's okay to use the controller, just don't let the macro run while you are away from the keyboard.  EQ2's EULA is very clear about the use of 3rd party software and I'm assuming that this would include the software that comes with your game controller.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, those are my thoughts, but an "official" response from someone employed by SOE would be great.</DIV>

Sadly, unless/until sony ever does address arrow consumption for rangers, or you get a master1 reclaimed arrows, or a bow that summons a stack of 99 arrows every 4 minutes - it seems the way to go to get enough tier appropriate arrows without going broke is to break the EULA and macro them in your room overnight. The very sad part is some people have admitted as much to simply be able to keep up with thier job of doing DPS. Didn't say this out loud - but go in your room and macro overnight, it's how all the cool kid tradeskill bots who never ever get banned do it. <div></div>
