<DIV>Can I go back to ranger if I hate assasin?  I know I loose my masters.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The cost is kinda bumming me out a bit.  I like my ranger, which is why I want to know if I can go back to ranger if they changed the arrow cost somehow.  I cant keep up with the amount of arrows I use with the rate I summon.  Solo I can summon enough but in group I fall way way behind.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>

i believe you can betray as often as you like. best to check the quests boards for the answer though as i have not done it myself.

You can betray as many times as you want.  Each time, though, yours spells get reset.

you do lose your Master II spells.. but only because you have a forced respec after you betray.. and yes you can betray as many times as you like.I woudlnt betray to an assassin just because you dont like the arrow cost though.. Assassin is quite a bit different from Ranger in terms of play style..if you like the Ranger play style but just dont like paying for arrows then your probablynot going to enjoy Assassin..its ALOT less ranged (i have 3 ranged abilites, 2 of which require me to be behind).. i barely use my bow anymore unless its a fight I have to range... but i enjoy the melee aspects of Assassin anyhow.<div></div>

Might I suggest you start a crafting proffession? Now that there are no subcombines it is a LOT more enjoyable. It also gives you a lot of time to get arrow while harvesting and crafting.<div></div>

<DIV>The thing that would make me nervous is the frequecy of change in EQ2.  Right now, you can betray back and forth, but tomorrow that may not be the case.</DIV>

<DIV>I have not played my ranger (43) in a while now and been focusing on my necro. He is a DE and betrayed once. I've been debating with the changes if I want to betray back and make an assasin. I've been grouping a lot and would love to be able to do some great DPS and really help the group out. Hopefully some people can add to this thread to help out in the decision. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

yes i have betrayed.. twice .. i was an Ogre predator who betrayed back when the betrayal was hard to become a ranger.. level'd to 60 and retired when they sucked the fun out of the class.  I recently betrayed back to become an Assassin.  The new betrayal is very easy.. took me about 3-4 hours playtime.. You lose all your class specific stuff.  At 60 I had no masters, only adept III's and nothing class specific like class hats.  I have been able to afford to buy 7 Assassin masters for the price it would have cost me for 1 good Ranger master.I personally am enjoying the Assassin, as much as i enjoyed my pre nerf Ranger.  Its not about the big numbers, its about feeling useful again.  When we did lots of damage you felt like you were wanted because of that, after the changes I didnt feel that wanted in groups, and in raids it was worse as unless we didnt have enough people on you can always find a class to do the Rangers job, and then contribute something else like resists, or agro transfer or something. Now as the assassin I feel useful again, the class feels fun.  This is just me though, you might not get the same experience.  Having played both classes though, I know I enjoy Assassin alot more and I wouldnt betray back even if they put Rangers back to pre'nerf.. i like  being a flashing slicing hail of whirling blades ..Then there is the costs factor.. all the saved cash from not having to buy arrows (still have 4000 reclaimed arrows from being a ranger) is great .. and i do great damage.. its not for everyone though.. alot of people really enjoy their Rangers .. and i did too up to a point.  At 49 though, try it and see.. the betrayal is simple.. and you can always betray back if you dont like it.  Hope you like freeport though.. lol<div></div>

After you complete betrayal, on the *final* step, it automatically resets everything and gives you your new class.  It's as if you just hit a respect and your spells are all app1.

yes no token.. you automatically respec.. as if you had typed /respec .. and then you sit doing your respect while you hear ding..... ding.... ding for all of your spells.. LOL<div></div>

I'm curious if anyone know this: As a Ranger, leave Qeynos and go BACK to Qeynos (NEVER side with FP)... Is it possible? Would you lose your Masters?<div></div>

<DIV>You'd never complete the final step, so yes it's possible.</DIV>

Yes you can.  I did the same thing with my wizard.  Although I switched to a warlock, I could have selected a wizard instead.  I simply decided to stay in qeynos because I liked it more than FP.  Wizard/Warlock being a neutral class, either can live in both cities.  You do lose all your spells when you get accepted into your home.
