<DIV>Hey all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since my mid- to late-30s, I've noticed that finding Ranger Masters on the broker has gotten harder and harder. And the ones I do find are two to three times more expensive than the ones I bought in my mid-thirties. Minimum price for anything over lvl 40 is 2 plat. Yikes!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is it like this for other classes as well? I mean, are higher-level masters just a lot rarer than lower-level ones?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Heh, I got desperate enough to spend some time hunting down a high-level jeweler to make me some Adept IIIs. After buying the rare gems, and paying him his fee, I'd spent just about 2 plat for two level 40 Adept IIIs. Not bad at all, I must say, and I wish now that I'd gone the jeweler route instead of the alchemist route. I had no idea that Combat Arts would be so rare at the higher levels. Sheesh.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just some random thoughts on a boring Thursday....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Jowita</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Flidias on <span class=date_text>07-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:14 PM</span>

It goes up and down. During the "me too" phase of Rangers, the masters were harder to come by with the large demand so as a result the prices on some servers skyrocketed. But as far as level ranges go, the Masters will begin jumping in price as you climb the tree, double digit plat value isnt uncommon for the final ability in any CA line.On a side note, some Masters drop in certain locations. For example, last night in one of the Fallen Dynasty instances, within 5 minutes I had a Master 1 Elude and Master 1 Reclaim Arrows drop in my lap. I was the only Ranger in the 4 man group so they both went to me. I look forward to visiting that zone again to see if I can get any other free Master upgrades. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I think you are taking the right course of action by getting the adept 3s made, for the amount of time you spend with certain CAs during the level up phase it just isnt worth hefty monetary investments to worry about Masters. If they come your way great, but if not, no biggie. I never worried about going out of my way to aquire Masters until I got to the final ability in the CA line, that way I wasnt going to be replacing the skill anytime in the near future.

<P>Good advice on maintaining Adept IIIs when no Ranger Masters are forthcoming from xp groups. I like the idea of supporting my local jewelers, plus the fact that the only really important Masters are, like you said, the final ones in the CA line.</P> <P>Thanks, Gasisna! 5 stars for you...oh wait, I'm regressing into the past...</P> <P> </P> <P>Jowita</P>

<P>If you really want masters in the upper 40's it's possible to keep clearing places like Miragul's Menagerie, Efreeti Bastion, Icespire summit and names in Sol's Eye, Permafrost and Cazic Thule.</P> <P>That was more productive back when there was a level cap of 50 and you were likely to spend a while there. Actively hunting or buying masters probably isn't worth the time investment now unless you plan to level very slowly.</P> <P>I've now played on two servers and Ranger masters seem to be expensive on both, in both cities. It is possible to find the odd bargain or two if you check both cities regularly.</P> <P>Mirdo.</P>
