Good Luck with the Sin! Personally I just rolled an ALT to raid with...My Ranger is a great challenge to really see what I can and can not do. Yes there are some limitations that I just can not break, but it's always nice to hear. " How the hell did you do that?!" from time to time Later /wave

Falcon

Have fun in the haunted mansion... I still think you'll be back, that's the beauty of the new system though, change as often as you like/can afford

After you get geared, let us know the difference, if any. Perhaps it's less positive than I might think, but I expect afterwards that you will like it.

yeah anything class specific is gone .. i had no relic.. no class specific loot of any kind.. hadnt done my hat or anything yet..Since betraying i dusted off my parser and I am concistently at the top.. last night i as a 60 Assassin was neck and neck with a 64 Conj and a 63 Wizard. I'm still learning and 75% of my spells are adept 1 .. the rest are app 1 or app 2. Working on making adept 3 of anything 57+ and assassin masters are alot cheaper than Ranger masters. So far i am extremely happy with my choice although it is a diff style of play .. i find i have to position myself alot more and a tank who doesnt rotate the mobs right, or keeps floppin them about is annoying..agro is alot easier to control too.. although i dont have the 41% hate reduction like rangers do.

hate transfer beats aggro reduction in almost any group. The only time it is not is when you are transferring to a non-tank in a dps raid group or such, and when 2 assassins are in the group. Also much more useful in a raid. The last one assassins get is 26% at adept3 (!), for a net 52% effective reduce versus your transferee if they are a MT. Which is better than our 39% reducer at adept3.

It's too bad you weren't 70, I would love to see an apples-to-apples comparison of the same player playing both classes with relatively similar gear.

Devs, it's obvious rangers are behind the curve. Can we just admit it already and look at some fixes?

I don't suppose you saved your parses/logs from then. I would be interested in seeing the top 10 dps contributors. I know them for rangers but not assassins and the direct comparisons would be very useful.

p.s. does it factor in the mark damage in the parser?

If anybody else has betrayed and saved them and is using roughly the same gear, can you post a breakdown?

I never considered my Rangers fun factor to be the problem. No matter what they have done to us I have always considered my Ranger the funnest class I've played.

For me it was simply the cost of arrows not a desperate need to be #1 on parses.
