<DIV>So, this past week I finally got a rare t6 pelt and had a new Quiver crafted to replace my T5 one. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Being so happy about this I decided to hold a little raffle for my old one...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I decided to target rangers level 1-30.  I sent a level message out in each chat letting folks know that any rangers who were logged on could send me a tell with a number between 1-500 and the closest one would win a t5 legendary quiver.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Holy CAO!! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To start, my number was 369 and the first tell was 365....from a monk <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had tells coming for over 2 full minutes...then the next 2 minutes were tells asking did I win did I win [Removed for Content]....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I didnt think this out to well lol, so, I figured out who was the winning ranger and sent him a tell.  I had two people who both chose 365 and they were both not rangers lol.  So I sent them some consolation prizes (Pristine teak strongboxes...not to shabby of a runner up prize).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think when I find my t7 pelt and get my next quiver I am going to think this out a bit better.  All in all though...that was a lot of fun. I got to talk with some younger rangers on Befallen and see how they were doing (almost all of them loved the ranger class <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  ) and help out a few younger characters. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone out there doing similar things with items that can be hand me downs?  Bags, quivers, strongboxes?  Any suggestions on handling the actual contest better?  And yes...I know I am foolish for not selling the quiver for arrow money <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sai is so stoopid</DIV>

I used to do this in EQ1 all the time, hit one of the newbie zones and hand out old or looted gear to young uns. I havent done much of it in EQ2, maybe since alot of gear is attuned but for those things that are not attuned, its a great way to spread a little friendliness around.
