<DIV>Just dinged 54 the other day,and now i'm wondering what m2 to take. I've read alot of older threads, but i dont think they apply anymore since all the ranger changes.</DIV> <DIV>It comes down to these 2 choices: Backup quiver or stealthy fire.</DIV> <DIV>Stealfhy fire does alot of damage if it hits, but you need to be stealthed to use it and it's on a long recast timer.</DIV> <DIV>Backup quiver summons higher level arrows so that will boost my autoattack damage. At the moment im using level 30 summoned arrows.</DIV> <DIV>The question now is,how much more damage will i do if i upgrade to level 40 summoned arrows? </DIV> <DIV>I parsed a few fights that i used stealthy fire in,and if it hits,it counts for about 20% of my total damage.</DIV> <DIV>The piercing damage i do is usually around 15 %,but i also use a dagger,so not sure how much arrows do.</DIV> <DIV>So,what would you choose?</DIV>

I went with Stealthy Fire. Backup Quiver is still gonna summon a lower tier arrow it will be the 40 level arrows since SoE skipped the T6 indium arrows summon spell (since it only upgrades every 14 levels).

Could you guys also tell why you choose stealthy fire or backup quiver?

<div></div><font size="2">Stealthy Fire here, as well.  You will be using Stealthy Fire all the way up until level 68.  Backup Quiver will be replaced very early in t7 (sorry, I can't remember exactly which level).  I know a lot of things have changed, but t7 is the only tier I have played that the Makeshift line summoned tier appropriate arrows, therefore I never upgraded that line beyone ad 1.  I'm not in-game at the moment, and I can't remember, but the last time I looked at Backup Quiver it still did not summon indium arrows. The upgrade to M2 Stealthy Fire from even adept 3 is significant.  Just make sure you always precede it with the Debilitating line and it will almost always hit.</font><div></div><p>Message Edited by Zholain on <span class=date_text>05-07-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:32 PM</span>

<P>What Zholain said <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P> </P> <P>At the advice of others I took M2 Stealthy Fire and couldnt be happier.  When it comes to summoned arrows, I always have enough to back up my purchased arrows.</P> <P>I cant wait to get into T7 to finally get a summoned arrow that is right for my level.</P> <P>I open most every fight with Stealthy fire and then leg shot.  Both are master two and the effects are impressive.  Stealthy drops the mobs health significantly, then it crawls to me from legshot.  I will then hit it with one or two more ranged, root it with survival of the fittest, back up and unload another ca or two (in between auto attack).</P> <P>I really cant be happier with that setup.  Backup quiver just means nothing to me in terms of dps...it is just back up ammo for me (Though I do have it at adept III...I think)</P> <P>Saihung</P>

<DIV>I agree with Zho and Sai.  I went with Stealthy Fire and never regretted it.  Next level I get the makeshift for T7 and was lucky enough to get the adept1 this weekend.  I am so looking forward to not having to buy as many tier appropriate arrows.</DIV>

I took Dire Blade.  Stealthy Fire is also a good choice.  I use the Dire Blade line a lot more than the stealthy fire line due to cast times.

Stealthy Fire Master 2, you can't beat it as a soloing tool and it helps as a nice nuke for group situations as well. IMHO<div></div>
