<DIV>Ok, this may be a bit of a new noob question, but we do damage several different ways: hand weapons, bows, CAs, poison. Which of these is affected by a spell that increases (or *shudder* decreases) "DPS"? If a spell were actually, literally, going to affect my real DPS (total damage / elapsed time) by x%, then it would have to apply the x% modifier to *all* outgoing damage. However, I have seen a couple of comments by some posters that imply that spells which modify "DPS" may affect some things and not others. Does anyone know for sure?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks.</DIV> <DIV><EM><FONT color=#339933 size=4>H.</FONT></EM></DIV>

Normally they only affect Auto-Attack Damage .. thats however like i know the DPS Buffs from my Dirge .. and i didn't saw that Brutal Instinct does any noticeable difference with CAs :smileyindifferent:

DPS mod affects auto-attack damage, both ranged and melee. That is all it affects, it does not modify combat art damage. Both Haste and DPS mod cap out at 100%. <div></div>

<P>Yup. But critical %, such as from focus, affects both CAs and auto-attacks. That's why focus is such a nice skill, not only bumping dps but more important critical %.</P> <P>On a side note, anybody know if with 100% haste your proc % is half or the same?</P>
