<div>Hello fellow Rangers.</div><div> </div><div>I started out on Darathar when the PvP server was added and have now hit level 46. Ive not yet come across any bow thats better than the Stormfire bow from SH which is level 30. Although i did have the highest level woodworker ( level 45 ) on the server make a pristine imbued oak one ( Its slightly lower in damage, but the lightning strike makes up for it in PvP <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>When said woodworker reached level 44 he created Pristine Teakwood bow, but these also aren't anywhere near as good as the stormfire.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>So are there any quests around that can give the equivelent of Stormfire but for a level 45+?</div><div>I'm levelling faster than the woodworker so by the time he can create the Cedar bow I will be up in my 50's.</div><div> </div><div>I heard some loose rumours about a bow quest on Zek, but thats about it.</div><div> </div>

<div></div>There's the <font color="#ffff00"><b><a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/SureshotBow.php">Sureshot Bow</a></b></font> from the quest <b><font color="#ffff00"><a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/OperationGreenHood.php">Operation Green Hood</a></font></b> in Zek, but for myself, on Nagafen, there's no way I'll not be using a proc'ed bow. On imbued Oak now, will use a Cedar when I can make it, Fabled when I get one etc.Proc'ed bow in PvP = free DPS and a total winner - you know what I mean, that lovely proc when some ganker is running from you, copping a nice hit of damage from auto-attack.But yes, if you're more after stats, I pressume that Sureshot is the bow you're looking for.<div></div>

I have a fabled level 30 bow,and thus far haven't found a bow in the 40s that can compare to it.  So my plan of attack is to just wait it out until I get 50 to get a new bow (I'm 44 atm)<div></div>

<div></div><div>I am thinking any of the rare harvested bows are better because they have a proc. Especially once you are in t5. So it would go pristine imbued cedar bow then a pristine imbued ironwood bow. Once you get into t7 the rare harvested bows become treasured and quested bows are a lot better.</div><div> </div><div>Elbryan66 RangerEverfrost</div>

Why is a proc better for pvp? Most of the procs I've seen are only a 5% chance. Does the % chance go up a lot for higher end bows or something?<div></div>

<div></div><p>Nah but its just that during a lengthy PvP chase with no mana at all and the enemy at 15% health the imbued proc always seems to go off and thwart the player <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>It doesnt feel like 5 %.. more like 40 <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Ok, some of you are going to hate me for asking this but...Are there some good fabled 40-55 bows that a group of 62-68's could get? (figure I might as well use my retired Monker for something!)<div></div>

<div></div>Well about the Sureshot, which is the pain in the butt quest bow in zek. Finished it yesterday, happy to finally have an upgrade to my stormfire. Well guess what, damage, range, identical. Stats are about the same as well, just shifted a bit (if I recall, the sureshot has 1 or 2 more STR and 1 or 2 less AGI). I just hit 40, and have been looking for an upgrade for the future for quite awhile, and have come to the conclussion that if you don't want to miss with the sureshot for a stat shift or two, then your stormfire is still the best of what's around (for flat out dmg that is). Just my 2 cents...

<div></div><p>I am level 44, and I use the Bloodlet, over the Sureshot, but as you say, there is not a lot of difference.</p><p>The Imbued Cedar is better, but they run around 75-85gp, and I am not sure it is <em>that</em> much better.</p><p>Any thoughts on that?</p>

<div></div>i liked using this one from low 40's for a long time... the proc seemed to go off pretty often and always did nice damage  <a href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/ValianBow.php" target="_blank">http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/ValianBow.php</a>     Drops of Drayek

<div></div><blockquote><hr>Kaleyen wrote:Return to Nek Castle...that some sort of sub zone to Nek castle?<div></div><hr></blockquote>Nek castle the return , once you clear nek once , speak to the guy outside and he gives a quest to lay everlings ashes on the graves stone throughout Norrath , do this then you can enter nek the return (lvl 50 zone)
